Er wish list that has no politics (Cause they are dead boring to people that don't enjoy "Coronation Street" or "East Enders") follows :
- Ships either get 10x more hit points so combat lasts minutes, not seconds or ships get 50% less hit points so blobs are not needed
- New ships (BC and BS class only) added with unique qualities that express their racial foundations (Agility/Web, Drones/Damps, Missiles/ECM, Tanking/Nuet) and are affordable.
- Courier class Frigate that is like a shuttle on steroids. Has a base speed of 4km/s and fittings, but slightly bigger cargo bay
- Some sort of 'Template' players can follow for their training. Pick if they want to be given pointers as to what skills to train for a certain career path. Something you can toggle on / off. Useful for people like me that want to try out every career in EVE.
- Downtime reduced to just 'certain systems that need it' rather than blanket shut down.
- Ability to organize your assets via sql like queries. i.e. so I can pick to sort assets by jumps !!
- Mods that are flashing as you tried to use them and the ship you tried to use them on was out of range, activate when that ship is actually in range
- a section in the EVE-O forums for *****ing, whining and "OMG, FOTM, NERF IT!!" posts so I don't have to see em ;0
- oh and some info with regards to how missions are made allowing the role players to design missions for submission to CCP as getting the community involved is really what makes the game more of an investment than a payment.

Yes exactly like certifications, except as an overlay for the 'skills' section so you might actually 'use' them more than 'once' out of curiosity.

Edited by: Blue Tsunami on 04/01/2009 02:01:50 I wish for two things.
1. I hope T3 launches well and isnt some sort of disaster. (I'm having trouble understanding how this is going to work out).
2. I hope Ambulation makes it in because regardless of the disbelievers, this feature will make EvE one more step closer to making it an all in one MMO. (Just wait untill planetary interaction )
Should be an interesting year however it turns out.

I wish that we could have dungeons with bosses and things in them that you have to run hundreds of times so that you can get your Magical Hat of Bold Yarrage. There should also be instanced PvP areas, I think battlegrounds is a good name. We could fight over meaningless objectives and not lose anything when we die.
I also wish that we could crack open the skulls of our neighbours, feasting on the warm blood that pours from their shattered skulls. Thus annointed we shall read from the Seven Scrolls of Ankh-amon and usher forth the end times upon the world.
A fix to rocket and missile dps would be nice too.
The proper name for a social system based on political freedom is capitalism. |

1. Dynamic PvE buff in conjunction with a High Sec resource nerf, Low Sec resource increase, wormhole addition, mission nerf, and exploration buff.
2. Stabilization of the T2 market.
3. A stable, balanced, thoroughly pre-tested implementation of T3.
4. A continued lack of instanced space and consensual PvP.
And if you can, CCP:
5. A storyline alteration that drastically affects the playstyle of large numbers of people (as in anyone who undocks.) I'm not talking about an RP thing either. I mean a fundamental change to the way we go about our srs bzns in space, even if it's only temporary (an Empire closing its borders to non-citizens, sudden unexplainable disappearance of key resources, pirate occupation in the form of instalocking warp scrambling gate camps in a major trade hub, or whatever.) I don't care what it is and I don't care who complains.
edit: oh yeah and fix stealth bombers

1 - Minmatar Buff. 2 - Huge Faction War reward buff. 3 - New equipments and ships. 4 - Learning points earned by experience using the related stuff (just a small amount). 5 - ECM nerf. * 6 - T2 Insurance. 7 - Lower T2 prices. 8 - More ship hitpoints for longer battles.
* - A single Blackbird can reliably take 3 Battleships out of combat or 5 frigs from 100km+. (A little over the top for a T1 cruiser, BTW I fly a BB with good skills :-)

This.
In regards to the uber-freighter, high-speed ships absolutely pwn - balance it out though by requiring some kind of fuel to increase warp speed, agility, etc., which basically means creating some kind of module that would do it and only be able to be equipped by a new Speed Freighter class of ships or sommat. So you can haul stuff faster, but you pay ISK for the privilege of doing so (think EVE equivalent of Priority/overnight shipping)
Also - people in fleet cannot set off aggression counters against each other (i.e., I'm salvaging and looting someone's mission for them, so I can loot and salvage in peace without constant "about to steal" messages), and at the same time making concordokken for canflippers, otherwise it's actually safer for a lot of people to mine in null-sec.
Get Ambulation/T3/exploration done right and quickly, in that order of priority.
Pay RL currency for doubled skill learning speeds. Also skill-queues now that ghost training is gone.
Introduce skills related to speeding up mining cycles and cargo space (i.e., Packing Organization).
Warp speed buff for shuttles. Warp speed nerf for industrials.
Find a way to repackage with rigs intact, so I can carry around my rigged ships in an industrial or freighter - I dunno, maybe allow rigs to be taken off without destroying them? I haven't been around EVE long enough to understand the balancing reasons behind the permanence of rigs...

Originally by: Vibora BR 6 - T2 Insurance. 7 - Lower T2 prices.
Point #8 should have been "remove all T1 combat ships from the game." After all you might as well if you coupled a T2 price reduction with T2 insurance.
I'll spot you your other points though. Minmatar mass got nerfed pretty hard, and either ships with ECM bonuses need a bonus reduction, or ECM should be altered across the board (maybe add scripts that boost either range or jam strength or something.)
edit: and I have extreme loathing for a light transport vessel with a 4km base speed. Train up Covert Ops and use that. At least those aren't out-and-out unbalanced when it comes to being able to evade the enemy.

I just think T2 stuff is too expensive as the best T1 frigate costs about 300k, the less expensive T2 frigate costs about 7Mi. (20+ times more expensive for barely twice effective in some cases.)
This courier frigate should be a kind of big T2 shuttle. No fittings and just a big cargo hold.
But 4km/s is not required, 1km/s base would be enough to go thought in Autopilot mode. Or maybe it just should jump to 0km at gates even in autopilot.
Anyway should be nice having something like as traveling in EVE is boring to the bone!!!!

I wish for CCP to start addressing the learning curve of EvE. The box is going to be hitting the shelves soon and potentially a flood of new players are coming.
I would like to see the retention rate of new players above 50%. ______________ Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn. |
