It should already have one built in, you'll need to download a dictionary for your preferred language though, which can be easily found on the site.
Other nice addons I like are of course noscript, adblock, linkification, ubiquity and read it later. Pretty basic stuff.

The internet just isn't the same without add-ons. Here's what I hate to go without:
Adblock+ and Filterset.G Updater All-in-one Gestures British English Dictionary DownThemAll (download manager) NoScript SessionManager Linkification _____ Originally by: Killer Kelly Apparently I just got nerfed but I can't tell the difference

I would also recommend FlashBlock.
Stops all flash on the page from displaying flash files until you specifically click on them to allow. No more flashing adds all over the place and immunity from all that youtube shock-linking idiocy. It is my second-favorite addon after ScriptBlock.
For some sites that try to detect your browser and refuse to work with Firefox (Some banking sites come to mind) IETab is helpful.

Answers 2.2.48 is really nice. If you come across a word you are unfamiliar with you alt left click it and a box with a definition and basic dictionary entry pops up. Very nice in my mind.

Personally, I find G.s filterset to be too bloated and completely obsolete compared to the much more smoother (and imo) better easyelement + easylist. But who knows, maybe G. have dropped his asinine ego?

Blocks all scripts on a page from executing until you give them permission to be executed. Gives you a first defence against malicious scripts. Downside is 99% of all pages these days have some javascript or flash in them which means you need to give each individual website permission.

Good ones mentioned so far, I really like FlagFox- nothing earth- shattering, but it just shows a flag of the country on which the site you are connecting to is based. --

The only must-have for me is Adblock Plus.
I also use Flagfox since its fun to see what country a site is located in. For example, this site is located in Iceland so I get a nice icelandish flag next to the URL field. Clicking on it shows the country in Google Earth with some info:
Host namemyeve.eve-online.com ISP Crowd Control Productions Autonomous System Country Iceland Country Code IS (ISL) City Reykjavfk Region Gullbringusysla IP Address 87.237.39.200 Postal Code Unknown Flag IS Latitude 64.15 Local time* 05 Jan 2009 21:17 Longitude -21.95
I love the name of their region... Gullbringusysla... thats a mouthful.
Oh, and finding a cool theme is important so the browser looks good.

After reading this thread, I'm going to install Linkification, Adblock Plus, noscript, All-in-One Gestures, and FlashBlock. ;o |
