My PC:
Windows XP
AMD Athlon 64 2.2Gh
Geforce 8600gt 512mb
Ram 2GB
Since new patch came out Eve is freezing and lagging like hell abosultly randomly but often for 30sec or more while i'm flying or fighting. When it's freezing almost impossible to operate my ship and it doesnt matter playing one client or two it happens happens happens over and over for long time since new patch came!!!
I'm sure in 99% it's not problem with my inet or pc, it's just something wrong in the game itself.
I don't have clearly answer for my petition. Maybe Eve team doesn't want to see just ignore the problem??? Really don't understand what i should to do? Maybe some1 has got any solution for me?!

This happens to me when I have been playing for a while. The longer I play the worse it gets.
A reboot fixes it for the most part (there will always be some lag depending on which system you are in). The likely cause of the 30 second lags are a memory leak.
A reboot will clean out your RAM.

Same issue
Issue running 2 clients
Activare framerate window in game ctrl +f
and you will see that you rframerate drops to 2-7 pr second then spikes up back

I ran Eve, made one mission and dont have any lag or freezing. Playing with two clients!
I tell u that first freez happened to me more than month ago. I've tried all what i could and knew with my pc and didnt find any solution. Maybe more than week ago freezes are gone and i've played as always: two clients full screen but few days ago they are back stronger as ever before.
I guess maybe guys on the server side something switching on off?!!

My corp mates and myself have been having the "freeze" as well. An alliance member said he'd nearly eliminated it by closing most of his player created chat windows. The chat windows are the kind players make for intel, market, b/s'ing, etc. and it's not uncommon to have 6 or more player created chats on top of alliance chat, local chat and corp chat going at the same time. He theorized the freeze was the chat side of the client updating every few seconds, resulting in the freeze we're seeing. In our case the freeze duration was directly affected by the number of player created chat windows open.

To add to this. I have similar problems with a client when resizing from 1200x1024 to 1920x1200 and back a few times. Compared with a 2nd client it has eaten up way more memory and performance wise is like Jita on a Sunday afternoon.
Turning off HDR helped a bit. |

Got almost the same problem.
When I "gate" it takes 37 sec. and when I appear on the other side of the gate, im in warp and warping back to the gate, just like I dc.
I also having major lag when I chose an item and wanna sell it. It freeze some secs and goes on..
This is much worse than a night in Jita.
edit: also having major lag when docking and undocking :S

I have now tried a lot. It's seems like it helped turning aero of in vista and setting my battery settings to high performance. The comp makes a little more noise now, but it seems it solved it. |

I normaly run two clients. After the last patch I was having horrible lag and freezes especially around gates every 30 to 45 sec and when jumping, but only on one of the clients. The client having issues had multiple player created chat windows open. Once I closed the player created chat windows on that client the problem completely went away. Good luck with solving your problem. |

Major lag here also. Selecting any info or market info locks system up for 20-45 sec. After this locks ups and frame rate freeze happen regularly every 30 to 45 secs.
Almost impossible to do anything with two accounts. This doubles the freeze and lock up time which then happens about every 20 secs.
Show info is now impossible to use, selecting this freezes the screen, unable to move mouse for at least 30-45 secs normally and has on occasion frozen the screen with hard drive screaming like a banshee for 2-5 Min's.
How about a toll free number to sort out our problems and get some real help here. WE DO PAY FOR THE GAME.
