I was anxious to start playing so I did not finish my tutorial. I think I may have checked a box yes saying "are you sure.... you do not want to finish tutorial later?", or something like that.
Now, I would like to finish, if only to get the freebies, implant, etc. However, Rian Sumana, the tutorial agent in Rydoinjorn, greets me with:
"Hello there. I'm your tutorial agent responsible for the last part of your training, ...."
But, when clicking the link, the mean guy says "Sorry, I have no work for you." His standings toward me are 10.0 Superb."
Am I screwed? Or, is their a way to continue (or even restart) the tutorial? Thank you in advance for your help.

try finding an events agent that should be in your bookmark or in the station the tutorial agent is in.

You can petition the GMs to fix it. They're generally very kind to new players about this.
You could also try restarting your client. This sometimes helps with agent problems.

If your'e looking for the career tutorials, you have to seek them up at their respective system. If your'e on trial ask in help, otherwise ask in local/corp if someone has pointers in their bio. When you arrive at said system and located the agent, he/she as an coassisting agent that you have/maybe to do first if he won't talk with you. If you finished the Aura tutorial then your'e done with here.

Edited by: Sleepkevert on 05/01/2009 11:04:02 You can reset the normal tutorials under the ESC menu somewhere, it should restart you from way in the beginning if you dock / undock in your starter system. _

I believe he's asking after the beginner tutorial missions (which give various rewards), not the Aura tutorials.
If you started the tutorial mission chain and did not finish it, to my knowledge there is no way to restart it. A GM may help - I don't know on that count.
If you didn't start it at all (didn't accept a single mission, at all) then you should be able to start now. In the same station as the +10 agent there should be an advisory agent. Do that agent first and it should open the missions on the second agent. ----------------

Every starting NPC corporation has 1 tutorial agent in each of his starting stations (normally those in 1.0 space). Only one of those starting station for each corporation has a second agent giving you a 10 episode storyline arc, giving out some implant and ship. You can do the storyline arc only once, but you can go to the other NPC starting corporations and do a different story arc, getting slightly different modules, ships and implants.
I looked a bit if I could get the list of those agents (I remember someone posting them) but could not find it. You best option is to look the 3 Minmatar schools informations, settled systems, and visit the 1.0 or 0.9 systems where there is only the school station (and no other NPC station). Those are the starting system. Hitting them all you should get some implants and ships.

Edited by: Cygnus Scott on 05/01/2009 19:24:31 You can also do the 10 part mission for all three Schools which will earn you a full set of attribute implants, several skill books (and some duplicates), and a Frigate or two from each one. The early money isn't bad either.
Also there are some courier storyline missions where they basically send you from station to station that helps your standings early on which gives you better options for your first agent in regards to their quality.
Thanks to Toshiro Greyhawk for the nice write up. The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. |
