People love to sing the praises of hi and null and say that lo offers nothing of benefit. You have no idea how wrong you are. The key part of the formula you're missing is that lo sec is a teamwork area. You have to be a team player to succeed there, and you need to have friends.
Advantages of Lo Sec Over Hi Sec
- Better belt rats, better minerals, and better complexes.
- Low population density. You can find lots of empty systems to play in.
- Open PVP - There is no such thing as suicide ganking in lo sec.
- Customs offices can be easily removed, even if player owned, without going through a wardec process.
Advantages of Lo Sec Over Null Sec
- Easy to get to. Nullsec is better defended and generally harder to get to from hi sec than lo sec is.
- No Sov, meaning that control of a system (and yes corps/alliances DO control lo sec systems) is only dependent on if you can defend that system.
- No bubbles, no bombs, no DDD, and has gate guns. Makes jumping blindly in lo sec safer than blindly jumping in nullsec.
Things are only impossible until they are not. |

Reason why Lo Sec Sucks.
-Stupid Security Status Loss. -Some low sec systems are islands -Lack of market hubs in low sec. -Stupid Gate and station guns that do nothing against the agressors but kill your own ship nearly instantly. -Low Sec devoid of 'nice' people. -Because of open pvp all money generating activites especially when solo is off the table. -Lo Sec Customs office removal great way to lose a dreadnaught. Some are placed for the sole purpose of being allaince gank baits. -Lo Sec is generally not easy to get to due to the large amounts of gate camps where as null sec doesnt tolerate gate camps they dont have.

- Better belt rats, better minerals, and better complexes. Only slightly better, no way worth the risk
- Low population density. You can find lots of empty systems to play in. There's a good reason why it's low density
- Open PVP - There is no such thing as suicide ganking in lo sec. That's more because there simply isn't anything worth it
- Customs offices can be easily removed, even if player owned, without going through a wardec process.Fantastic! lets all go to low sec! Because there customs offices can be removed!
Advantages of Lo Sec Over Null Sec
- Easy to get to. Nullsec is better defended and generally harder to get to from hi sec than lo sec is.Still plenty of camping on low-sec gates
- No Sov, meaning that control of a system (and yes corps/alliances DO control lo sec systems) is only dependent on if you can defend that system. There aren't much resources worth controlling in the first place
- No bubbles, no bombs, no DDD, and has gate guns. Makes jumping blindly in lo sec safer than blindly jumping in nullsec.Bad thing, bad thing, irrelevant, and gateguns could already be tanked with impunity 5 years ago.
Can't wait for your next face-palm worthy thread. http://go-dl.eve-files.com/media/corp/Tobiaz/sig_complaints.gif

Superficial list. I like low sec b/c:
I can run around with nice implants in my head. No bubbles equals less podding. It's great for casual PvP. I play 20-35 hours a week. I prefer to not spend that time waiting to form up, travelling to destination, waiting, and after five hours of being logged in finally have a fleet fight. I can fly fits that I want to fly and not some soul draining fleet doctrine fit. The lower numbers and lack of bubbles means I can fly and will compete against fits and tactic unfeasible in nullsec.
It's rare when I can't find 2-3 fights in a short period of time after I log in. I enjoy solo, small group, and even the occasional fleet PvP. I make enough isk off of FW to support my PvP addiction. I shop in Hek rather then Rens and avoid the Amamake blob. |

Keep making assumptions about lo sec, we like it the way it is. If you don't you may need to reevaluate your strategy or have a slight paradigm shift.
Lo sec is about actions, consequences, and living with them while having greater opportunity. It's free of the hubris and crippling politics of null and free of the drudgery and largely free of the tired bs of hi sec. The advantage of a bad memory is that one can enjoy the same good things for the first time several times.
One will rarely err if extreme actions be ascribed to vanity, ordinary actions to habit, and mean actions to fear. |

It's unreliable. Mostly uninhabited system, but one day you warp in and find a gatecamp. Then you're dead before you can do anything about it. |

Spin doctoring EVE didn't work that well 10 years ago. It's kind of funny, people still think it will work even with 20,000 pages of documentation on a game that is a decade old. |
