Because that takes skill, which apparently he lacks. 72M SP and you can't figure out how to kill frig pilots that know what they're doing? Ebay much? If you think you can buy your way to the top in Eve you wasted your money and did the right thing biomassing your characters.

Even a Drake can carry a full set of 5 lights, and that is plenty if you have good skills. Caldari aren't great with neuts, but we do have solid e-war ships. As far as shield tanking being a joke...all I need say is "Drake" and perhaps "Nighthawk". If you can't make either of those work, you need to read a tanking primer. Older character in Eve have one major advantage - flexibility. Just because you can't blindly one-shot a new player with no thought to tactics like you can in WoW, doesn't mean the vets have no advantage. Stercus accidit

A lot of all-too-serious whineage seemed to emanate from whoever owned the account at the time. I totally understand dumping precious possessions in order to get a clean start in one or more areas of your RL existence, but dumping a 72 million SP character to start over... I dunno. You don't have to utilize all those skills. Just get in a frig with T1 guns and you're utilizing most of the same skills plus a few extra support things that a new player would be using. That's one of the great things about Eve's character design.
