Hey, I'm cool. If you promise performance, I expect performance. If a 2008 Mac Pro with an 8800GT can get playable performance (>40fps) when staring at a POS, I'll make sure you get a beer at the next fanfest. If it doesn't, you get the frying pan. Well upgrading isn't the problem, but I would hate buying Leopard when Snow Leopard is just around the corner. I do have Leopard on my laptop, but I've been waiting for snow leopard for my desktop machine (and no, my laptop is a Air, so no "real" playing on it can be done).

Will the next client make the current "eyes bleed from pain" performance on "not so much supported" laptops better (aka the 1st gen Macbook Air and earlier macbooks)? Couldn't care less to use premium on them, but running a playable classic would be nice, so i could still pewpew while on trips :)
