Yeah, this is a game bug that many people have had recently, stupid n00bs want to call everything an exploit. I guess we have to give them time to figure things out though.

I quite liked the time I blasted an indy in my crow and was told I must be cheating to fly that fast. I warp scrambled him and nailed his ass with missiles and he complains I was flying to fast.

I had a problem where I could only see specific ships.
I could be in a belt with 15 ships and only see one of them.
Add to that local seems really unreliable at the moment.
Bottom line is sounds less like an exploit, more like a bug.

I to get this all the time, switch from Auto to named on your scanner - 2 seconds - and it clears it up.
That and the big red square is a good tip off
