Can a HIC prevent a capital ship like a carrier or dread from jumping as well as warping in lowsec? Or is it just a warpscramble?
Or an interdictor for that matter?
If the capital ship has regained sufficient capacity after a jump can it be stopped from jumping again (in lowsec)? Does bumping prevent a cap from jumping as well?

I don't think so.
However the amount of cap required is pretty high, so using reps or a neut bs should be sufficient to turn off their jump capability before they get an alt or corpmate to setup a cyno. |

Bumping wont stop them jumping however a HIC in low sec with a warp disruption script fitted will prevent any ship from jumping or warping, including motherships and titans. |

yes it can, that was the whole conception idea behind the hic. Its to prevent mothership free roam in low sec. A hic with a script will prevent cap from jumping and mothership from warping |

Just came up with another question:
Will drones that are already orbitting a carrier autoaggro when the carrier is dampened/ecm-ed, what if the drones are launched after the dampening/ecm-ing has started?

Drones will auto-aggro a target when they target you, as long as they(drones) are out before the aggression takes place.
Can't recall off the top of my head if they(drones) will aggro if YOU aggro target when they(drones) are out and idle.

i was under the impression that an hic bubble would stop a mom from jumping and warping, i thought the script made the bubble into a glorified warp scrammer
what does the script actually do then? |

makes the bubble into a glorified warp scrammer. Which also stops the target (any target, incl carriers, dreads, moms, titans etc) from warping or jumping. |

It focuses the scrambling to one ship, meaning your gangmates won't be stuck in place. And it lets you use the scrambler in empirespace, whereas unscripted only works in 0.0.

Drones will respond to new agression. This means if the foe has fired a single shot on to you before you drop drones(or since aggro was reset through a session change or such) they will not respond. If they have not fired, drones will go after him right away. |

Yes, if you have more points than the cap has WCS then he cannot jump.
When is a dread is in siege you cannot activate any EWAR on him (points included) if you are taking one on and you don't have much in the way of neuts or the luxury of bubbles then keep spamming your scram buttan, as he is about to come out of siege if he has the cap and the luxury of an emergency cyno he'll be spamming his 'jump to...' buttan. It will be a race of reflexes, he may be able to jump before you point him.
