Edited by: Shakul on 25/07/2004 03:13:57 Won't shiva have player built labslots? Auction your items for isk, works sort of like ebay. |

Shakul is right, and i believe this is why ccp is holding off from making more labslots than there already are.
I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century. |

because the problem is not that theres isnt enough labslots to around. there are. there are a LOT of labslots. the problem is people buying up every single labslot in a station just becasue they can. its very cheap to do this and deny others the ability to do research and make bpc, thus eliminating competition. once they fix this issue, you will begin to see labs open up again by the hundreds. easiest way to solve the lab slot problem, is only allow so many lab slots per account... so all those 2nd and 3rd chars holding lab slots get free'd up.
max 6 labs per account... k thx

lots of people train up their alts to research in labs. ccp gives us alts to use as we wish. a limit like this would be silly.
much simpler imo would be to only be able to own as many as you have the skill to use, or at most twice as many. so max any one character should own would be 5-10. My Idea Thread

I think there should be a factory and a research slot available by your HQ and/or office.

Add on :
More labs in SHIVA.
Research Many technologies are on the Empires Research Exclusion list, and can only be researched outside the influence of the empires. Technology that are only allowed to be researched by military institutions, certified research contractors or other hazardous technology deemed to hurtful to the environment or deadly for the inhabitants of EVE tend to end up on the ERE list.
Created and maintained by the SCC after a group of Gallente scientists transfered some prominent planetary implosion techonology they were working on for the military - that was banned by pressure from the Amarr and Caldari governments - to dietary pills. They were a large success at first, but as they became more common, overdoses became more frequent. Usually this was easily cured but in some cases, the unfortunate dieters imploded.

huh....I would say yeah limit the amount of lab slots per account....or per character and get rid of alts...i mean for reals..ccp giving you alternate characters is like handing you a free ticket to exploit.

I disagree. There should be no reason to limit the capabilities of an alt. Alt's are already heavily restricted by not allowing shared learning time. Limited an Alt's capabilities is just bad business, especially for those very few who really are a shared account amoungst family members.
