Edited by: Captain Pompous on 09/01/2009 16:11:04 ...where people get really prissy about others using acronyms when talking about patch nerfs.
Having said that, it's nice to see that some things are timeless and do not change with the passage of aeons - forum whines will forever be close to my <3
edit: having said all this, and with the upcoming expansion in mind, what do you think the biggest post-patch whine might be (the wilder the speculations, the better)? |

+1 to you sir for attempting to spell "pseudo". I reckon we're going to see a lot of whining about the inability for the majority of people to gain access to wormholes - due, I would think, in large part to them being locked down by large power groupings. |

Locking down wormholes... is it really gonna be that simple? I thought they were gonna be volatile, so you can't camp them.
I'm really looking forward to wormholes tho... sounds like a right blast! |

Watch the videos, and read what information is available-they are actually NEW systems, out in the middle of nowhere w/o any gates. ---- --- --- Devs Sign Here; GMs and ISD welcome to :) |

From the devs' description, no. It's going to be systems with non-permanent stargates that aren't actually stargates…
Bah! Too slow… |

Quote: #2. Please stop attempting to insult people who dont see this game as pure PvP as "carebears". I know this is a game, but do you really need to act so childlike? You wonder why CCP dont take note of your comments, when your actions are so childish.
"Carebears" is no longer an insult. It is just a classification name on a group of players. The real problem is that some people are ashamed to be classified as carebears, but it is their personal problem, not the problem of people who use the term. |

Sure it is. Carebears are disgusting and must be eliminated.
Industrialists who embrace PVP in all of it's forms are not carebears. Carebears are those players who avoid PVP at all costs. They're the ones who autopilot untanked T1 haulers with billions of ISK and then when they're killed whine LOUDLY on the forums and complain that someone killed them. Blah blah blah blah.

So if someone does not PvP, they are to be eliminated? I fail to see the point of that... ____________________________________ "One mans thrash is a Minmatar's ship component" |

That's a pretty bad way of avoiding pvp. And I've been a carebear so far, but soon my skills will suffice for some frigate pvp. I don't feel any shame or insult to the term, the greatest part of eve is its sandbox nature.
Also, your example was not one of a carebear per se, but rather one of a whining idiot IMHO :) |

Carebearing isn't just a non-combat activity. Anyone that calls for the game to change rather than trying to adapt is a carebear in my book. There's plenty of people who embrace PvP who fall under that description.
I avoid PvP but I accept its existance. I do what I can to minimise the risks of experiencing it but if it happens I accept the outcome. |

Actually, the Care Bears are a set of characters created by American Greetings in 1981 for use on greeting cards. The original artwork for the cards was painted by artist Elena Kucharik. In 1983, Kenner turned the Care Bears into plush teddy bears. Each bear comes in a different color and has a specialized insignia on its belly that represents its duty and personality. This insignia was known as their "tummy symbol".
Whats your tummy symbol, friend?
