What do you mean by this exactly. Heavy drones are physically smaller then frigs so they shouldnt have a hard time hitting them right?
TBH i think you're going to far again, all that needed to be changed was the infinite range bug, and now all this stuff about waves of drones Sounds like stuff that is going to drastically change pvp yet again. Anyway i shouldnt talk, i can't test atm, hope it all works out though. ________________________________________________________

RP excuse for enhanced gameplay: drones are robots and very predictable - no navigation or evasive manuevering skills here .. carry on
So will heavy/med/light drone damage go up? Will i still be able to wtfpwn a frig attacking my bs?
Or...does this mean that i'll be able to carry enough heavy/medium drones and be able to deploy them against the appropriate target. Heavy for bs/cruisers, medium for frigs? If this is true, YAAAR!!!

Definetly. Since the latest barrage of nerfs i've had to watch a couple corp m8s quit. I hope it all works out, i want a reason not to quit ________________________________________________________

I appreciate the sarcasm but my point was that BS are being viciously nerfed to an almost extreme level in their vulnerability to frigates.
People keep yapping about smartbombs/webbers but, as has been pointed out, frigates can be effective outside that range and, if as TomB has postulated, 10X light drones don't help, what are we meant to do?
Die.
Misunderstanding, my post was meant to reinforce the idea that people already use frigs and cruisers A LOT. It's only going to get worse if this is indeed another nerf.
I think another part of the problem is the fact that tiny frigates like the crow can do 300+ damage per volley. If battleships can't touch frigs, why the hell should frigs be able to effectively attack bs's?
I hate to use real world examples but isnt that like shooting a tank with an m-16? Perhaps there should be a penalty on frig weapon damage to cruisers and bs's as there is a tracking penalty bs's have towards cruisers/frigs. Having all the classes being most effective against there own class isnt what i really want but the way things seem to be going, it sounds a lot more appealing.
A little off topic, but still important i think ________________________________________________________

If TEN drones, the command of which, outside of one battleship, requires about two MILLION SPs won't be able to be a real tool that can even kill a FRIGATE, what is the point of using them?
My recommendation: Small Drones - damage and tracking equal to one small turret like a 200 MM autocannon or medium pulse laser (small energy turret) or blaster.
Medium drones - damage and tracking equal to one medium turret.
Large drones - damage and tracking equal to one large turret.
In all cases make them track and have range equal to the turret they act like.
Isn't that simpler than what we're going here?
Good idea for small drones but for medium/large that would make pvp all about drones.
8 heavy drones would equal 8 large guns ________________________________________________________

The more i read, the more i see that nobody asked for these changes
Waves of drones coming from frigs? Tomb, you must realize that this is going to drastically change pvp and will only lead to a new wave of patches to balance it all out. All this does is waste development time
Please put all these ideas to the side, put the fixed drone range on tq and see how that rolls.
Please
