Hi Dev/Moderator
The following is a list of features as well as supporting infrastructures to be put in place for the feature or to use the feature.
Interstellar Correspondents - [IC]
*>Official EVE based Kill board û
Please can CCP setup an official kill board? This will take the official killmail and input it into a killboard accessible on ôeve-online.comö.
a>Killboard is to be filterable by attacker, victim, alliance, corporation and zone.
b>Killboard should have top statistics facts on a sub page û Such as highest number of ôkills per day by one personö, ôHighest number of deaths in a system in one dayö and so on.
c>This can change in the future to work like Militia panel to work for Alliances/Corps for individual users.
Feature use û
1>For users to have an official kill board, where they can show people and brag if they want.
2>To help ISD [IC]/EVE TV get accurate statistics on battles and events.
3>To assist ISD [IC] journalists to locate battles of specific interest. Get information on who was involved in the battle, so they know who to contact for interviews.
Ideal Scenario example of this feature being used û
A User is able to filter the Kill board information based on ôKills per system on specific daysö and notices that a large number of kills occurred in one particular system. Clicks on the system which then lists the kills in that system. If the people that died were all killed by the same people. The IC journalist can then send an eve mail to the leader of the gang requesting a firsthand account. If a phone call could be made and the interview recorded. This is the makings of very good live or up to date alliance wars news for EVE TV or evetube. Even better would be if the people in the op happened to video their operation and they sent us the footage.
I would be a proud and happy member of the IC or a freelance journalist if such a facility existed for me to create a 5-10 minute video on Wars between Alliances or corporations. It would be like a real news channel!
*>EVE mail accessible through web interface û
This would simply make it easier for people to communicate and arrange things. Such as sales, operations. I just think itÆs a feature that would make loads of peopleÆs lives easier and more people into the game to stay. As the number one issue EVE has at the moment is that it is hard for people to communicate with one another casually. Chat windows are troublesome so the voice communication was a god send. However only being able to access your eve mail unless you used the eve client is also a pain. Not to mention that there are many moments when you have the time to play EVE, but donÆt want to spend it replying to a load of EVE mails and rather go PVP or setup a mining operation. I think Leaders in general will think this feature would be very useful. To be able to access eve mail through the eve-online web-page like you go you everyday email.
I have been toiling about how to get the eve community more vocal. As I have recently rejoined and realized itÆs such a hassle to communicate with others on EVE. Which was one of the reasons I stopped playing for 5 months? Back now on my 3 year old accounts and good to go! Just wanted more interesting stuff occurring and I think EVE TV is perfect. IT like EAÆs Battle time broadcasts.
Ultimately your Marketing director would want to externalize costs. What better way than for you to give a load of tools to fans that can make videos and articles on youtube or other mediums which basically promote eve? |

I believe the new COSMOS concept that should roll out this summer would answer your pleas, at least that's what I understood from the FanFest videos by Oveur.
