Ok its been mentioned but dont mix long and close range setups
I use a thorax occasionally still and use the following setup I might try an armor tank setup next to see how they go
Hi = 5 250 rails or 5 200 mm rails if you dont have the L5 eng skills.
Med 1 med CL-5 1 sheild hardener (what ever damage you npc's do most) 1 T2 or named tracking comp
Low 2 T2 or named hybrid damage mod, power diags/ Cap charger 20% one with the cap size hit. Or you can still use cpr's
In an armor tank setup
mids would be T2 (or best) tracking comp and 2 T2 (or best cap
chargers)
low slot
1 T2 med armor repairer, 1 hardener (npc damagfe specific) 3 cpr's
Drone bay full of you best drones however, if the thorax drone bay is reduced to 1000 you will need to switch to med drones.

Without a scrambler of some kind you are relying totally upon luck or the unwary in order to get a kill. Sacrifice a cap recharger 2 and mount a 7.5 km scrambler, and then go to work.
