I directed him to the "Ships and Modules" section of the forums. I hope he does some diggin'.

Ok so uhm... no story, no funny situation or smack and you belittle a 2 month old player on not fitting properly, also he didn't fit something stupidly expensive which would require him buying isk.
If this is so amazingly new and important to you that you have to post about it I really don't need to know about the kills you normally get.

GIEF SETUP FOR WOOOLF ASSAULT FRIG PLEASE FOR SOLO AND SMALL GANG PVP ( )
When I was 2 months old and had not yet figured out the game mechanics, the loads of different modules, sensor strengths, damage types, resists and whatnot, I used to fit worse than that. Come find me today, self-important *****s.

There is no shortage of people playing this who just don't get it. Here's a raven my corp popped earlier. Note the CCC's even though he had no active modules other than 3 medium railguns.
noob raven
I gave him a few pointers one of them being to use a drake or ferox till he figures things out a bit better.

It just irks me when I see such a bad fitting that utilizes all best-named and T2 modules. How do people accumulate enough ISK to afford those fittings (especially best-named turrets) when they obviously have no idea how to actually fit the ship they're flying?

That was the right thing to do. Apart from that I think that guy is not the only 2 months char using a strange fitting. Eve is about trial and error for many people who do not have the guidance of a corporation or another player. If I did not have a friend giving me advice on fittings when I started playing, I would probably have ended up with a Gallente laser boat as my first ship

the worst thing about this game is the *****ing that goes on about other peoples fittings.
it's this ******ed attitude towards people losing ships (OMFG!!11 YOU DIED) and 1337 KD RaTiOnS that puts players off pvp and gets them herding up into blobs or running after the fotm, making sure they never learn **** about fighting.
get rid of killmails tbh. |

The face on this character is strikingly similar to that of my main, who has recently fallen prey to Navigator's BanHammer 5000. |

OK, so you killed a 2 month old player with a crap set-up, snd for some reason felt the need to post it on C&P. Only one person in the fight looks like a ******, and it's not the one who got killed.
It was months before I learnt to fit ships properly, let alone fly them. Cut the guy some slack, give him some advice, help him a long a little bit, or don't say anything at all.

I think we all had a fail fit we just didn't get caught with it. :) I will often let the player I pop know where it went wrong imho, if they ask or are cool about the PvP, for the non-talkers/tear shedders, I'll just wait for you to come back to the mission in ANOTHER fail fit and kill you AGAIN.
*shrug* These sort of fits don't humor me, now if it was on a cerb....well that is another story. Bad fittings on t2 ships slay me. |
