Had this one guy in this corp I was in Sashi. He was really cool and pretty good player to. He was around in the beta days well anyway he and the ceo get into a little spat and the ceo tells him to chill out it is just a game. Next thing I know he starts ranting on and on about how it is not a gameit is real life. You play it in real life therefore it is real and to say it is a game is wrong. It was pretty funny and scary at the same time. I have the chat log still and when I find i am getting a little carried away in EVE i re read the rant and it kind of grounds me again.
Wonder where that guy is now and if he is still playing he wa pretty cool all in all and enjoyed talking to him he had some great ideas, just got a little carried away. |

Knew these 2 minmatar guys they must have been in their early 20's or something. Every time a female toon would join the corp they would start hitting on it. Then demand pictures that it was really a girl. Well one day we get a new female toon. The person right away says hello to everyone and states I am a guy not a girl so dont ask. Sure enough these 2 guys start are you really a guy show us pictures, we think your a girl unless you show us otherwise, and on and on, they then proceeded to hit on this dude non stop.
I mean really you have a computer if your that hard up go log into a site.
Another guy had a girl toon but took his RP seriously so he got a voice modifier and spoke on vent with it with this wierd electronic high pitched voice. Which i guess is alright but I could never understand a damn word he was saying. He finally left after he told us how the guys in the garage he worked at made fun of him calling him gay and stuff. Of course he is telling while pretending to be his girl character and crying on vent. Needless to say some of the more diplomatic chaps harassed the hell out of him over it till he left.
Kind of felt bad a little but not much that voice on vent annoyed the hell out of me |

The cat in my signature. I found him wandering around an asteroid field in a cat shaped space suit one day batting at mining drones that got close to him. I took him home. Now he eats my food but doesn't do a damn bit of work to earn it.
I still loves him though. |

I would not be suprised if these guys were hitting on female characters because they KNEW that it was probably a guy. Other than roleplaying - why the hell would a RL man play a female character? Does he secretly WANT to be hit on? Treated different? They are obviously looking for some sort of in-game response - I just dont understand I guess.

For me it is mostly that I find It more pleasant to look at a female achura than a male...
Generally on videogames i play a female... however on IRL RPG (werewolf, vampire, D&D, Warhammer etc.) I play a man.

Anyways, there was a native in my system canbaiting notoriously, allthewhile smacking with the spelling of a blind guy and stationhumping his factionfit ships. For comedy I managed to get his alt secretly into our corp. When I logged on the next day it turns out he had lasted less than a day before his gibberish english and huge ego gave him away. Apparently he'd ranted nonstop about becoming our new dedicated FC and taking over the corp, so a few of the guys went in a fleet with him and popped his precious ships, twice. Same guy was in a 3v3 duel in a safespot near a station with his corp and three guys from another corp. I used their cans to warp there and sit and watch. They start fighting, drones fly around and pew is exchanged. Suddenly all hell breaks lose as Concord comes and barbeque all 3 in the comedy guy's corp. Dunno what that was all about, but they dropped nice loot.
Also, in my brief visit at WoW a corpmember I hardly knew confided to me in private that he wanted to kill himself for being a 14yo, short and overweight virgin none liked. It came out of the blue and it creeped me out. What the hell am supposed to say to that? That's half the reason I don't play ****ty teen games nomore.

One of them talked about himself all the time. And he used to write his nickname instead of "I" when talking. i.e. "Nickname likes salvaging in missions". Instead of "I like salvaging in missions".

Hey I know that guy. He was pretty cool. Wonder what he is up to today. He used to play with this other guy named Boon they used to be roomates or something. He did take his eve seriously but as one guy once pointed out to me in regards to eve. It is like hobby, you put a lot of time and money into it, so why wouldn't you take it somewhat seriously. |

i am quite a strange cat....then theres my previous CEO hugh depayens....(i dont liek him ! ) Then theres this guy who tried to blow me up while im in my shuttle while his in his mega...i orbited him at 500 m he had rails on so it was 0 dmg all the time..i was scrammed so i couldnt get anywhere and he kept telling me in local to stop my shuttle or else he would call his corpies ( 1 man corp ) to destroy me in a titan who is going to jump through the gate any second now... |

Nope. We know who Bastables is, RL name and address-wise, this wasn't him. I actually got to find out who the guy was, I have his name written down somewhere but I can't be arsed to find it - I wouldn't have made a big deal of it if my mum hadn't picked up the phone one time, and heard the jackass threatening to set my house on fire. I simply called Canada's version of the FBI (Officer McHavertie I luv u) and got the affair right straightened out. Turns out the guy was pretty much next door to me. I think a couple cops even showed up at his door to have a little talk about issuing death threats.
