i'm posting rumors, so many may not be true. but i heard that SA is making everyone fight against CA to prove themselves before they can fly stain and mine the area.
SA is also now supposed to take a share of everything mined in stain so as they can keep building ships for the war with CA.
apparently, if a corp now wants to join SA they have to put their ships and clones on the line and stand up against CA, which means they are asking people to lose ships and possibly implants if podded... and in return they get nothing.
i heard SA people are also getting mad cuz 2 or 3 miners are making millions, while a ton of SA are fighting CA.
SA is also making some systems and belts strictly available to ONE corp.
it seems to be SA is way out of line. their military channel has been monitored by CA for months and right now SA seems to be in a reorganization phase... and if this is all true... you'll start to see your members drop, which means less military, less skilled players, and MORE losses to CA.
SA, i know you're a group of many corps, but whoever makes your decisions really stinks... bad.

Stargirl,
You know, if you woulnd't be an alt and you haven't said you're posting rumors we MIGHT believe you. But these circumstances make your post stink... bad.

Sounds like something any organised and committed alliance would do.
No mining without contribution, sounds fair.
The only people that moan about it? Those that just want to benefit from alliance space, while not putting out to defend it.

SA has a right to ;)
And besides, if its true, they show only 1 thing, the desire and will to destroy CA. Big deal. Their policy, their politics. Not even worth a post...

Well afaik SA claiming a percentage of ore mined is nothing new.
Seems perfectly reasonable to require military participation of member corps in exchange for access.. Nobody likes freeloaders.

Umm no **** they would get mad.
The way it should work is that every corp in an alliance should have to have a pvp division. If that division holds there end up in battle then there mining division can mine all they want.
That said, i'm not exactly sure how these things actually work out. This is just what makes sense to me. ________________________________________________________

I think stain are very efficient from what I have seen. They have allowed certain corps sole access to systems before with great success, and have always operated a trial system of some kind. Those who don't wish for such rules can become friends of stain instead.
I wish CA had sole access rights to systems when we were in it because some freeloaders got all the stations and offices which was tarded. While the fighters were struggling to get a quality mining op on the go, the freeloaders are making $$$ on ebay.

That's the current proble with CA, I've heard.
They've now got so many corporations mining but not fighting that the hardcore pvp element are getting ****ed off.

Edited by: Aeryn Sun on 27/07/2004 10:01:08 Any alliance has their "secure" channels infiltrated. Thats why its rotated.
Sometimes, SA has spies in CA channels, and sometimes CA has spies in SA channels. Wonder if CCP could give channel admins a log of who invited whom, etc. (hummm )
What I don't understand is... Who are you? Why don't you know these things already? Did we kick your corp out of the Friends of Stain list?
And yes, SA is strict. So are most the other bigger alliances. Its from need.
If you are CA... then pls talk to your corp superiours. Even if we are at war with CA, we still respect them highly. Over the past months, smacktalk has decreased (well.. at least when I am there :) ) to an amazing low... from both sides.
We have limited mineral reserves, just like the next alliance.
Of course newcomers to our alliance have to fight. How else can we get proof of their dedication and ability to keep our space ours. (there is a reason why we haven't gone under even with great difficulties in the past)
Anywhoo.. just my two isks.

Well said Aeryn.
The current situation between SA and CA is good in the way we show respect towards each other (even though we are bitter enemies).
I think it's quite a natural state when you have been fighting so long as you realize that smack talk etc is really not necessary and rather immature as we both enjoy the fights.
Just because something is fixed doesn't mean you can't break it

Oh and I have to say one thing:
"apparently, if a corp now wants to join SA they have to put their ships and clones on the line and stand up against CA, which means they are asking people to lose ships and possibly implants if podded... and in return they get nothing."
Woot? Them corps get nothing? Having access and defenses in 0.0 space is valued greatly by most players in the eve community.
