Feaux Tomai	Posted - 2004.07.27 07:52:00 - [3] The Taranis is mainly used for up in your face combat. It's speed combined with hybrid turret damage bonus makes it most useful for short ranged combat. It is considered by some the best interceptor in EVE.

Kamath	Posted - 2004.07.27 07:54:00 - [5] Hi, I think Taranis is one of the better inty, easy to fit and amazing damage dealer :) For PVP u can use this config: 3 light ion 1 small smart bomb 1 mwd 1 scamble 1 statis 3 cap power relay and for PVE: 3 light ion 1 small smart bomb 1 1MN ab 1 small shield boost and evrithing u want 1 small armor repairer and waht u need to fit hi and med With this config u can kill a Serpentis BS in approximatively 5-7 min

I've been PvE with just an 1mn Afterburner and done very well thanks. The Tarranis has an insane damage output. Most frigs die in one volley, cruisers in 4 or 5 and considering the rof of 3 ions with skills 4 or 5 volleys is not very long. I love it! Its close range nature does mean that you have to repair a lot though so I ALWAYS fit a small armour repair so i can warp out, repair and warp back again when beaten up. **edit: typos
