In the database but not published.
Guess it was some alternate version of assault frigates they didn't go with.
Interesting that it has a specialised module.

Could be a rough draft for the new bomber changes (Torps). So rather than having the Bombers being able to use cruise AND torps, just make a new frig.
If that's the case, sounds good to me |

much overrated
keeping a full bank of prometheus-S online for more than 5 seconds at a time meant you are slow as a rock and have minimal shield recharge
unless you played on the lower difficulties, but who does that? |

Heh, that reminds me of what I used to do all the time in FS1.
I'd fly a Seth whenever it was available, load up dual Banshee (yeah) and twin Phoenix V and go barreling headlong into my enemy firing full volleys of Banshee then two Phoenix V right at the target.
It instapopped just about anything. :3

Considering it's made by Roden Shipyards I'd have to say it's not made by Blood Raiders. And since it requires the Assault Ships skill I'd say it's t2, not faction. Also, Raiders use Amarr hulls not Gallente |

It is important to remember that the Devs know we like to look at the database and try to predict what ships are going to be overpowered so we can whine about them in advance. That's why they included this. --

If I remember correctly, at one point in the past someone on the test server found a ship like this that had been left in space by a dev (it was a Minmatar version). I believe it was an early idea or design for the Assault Frigates, known as "Escort Ships" or something similar. It's possible that this is one of those. CCP often have random things in the database. |

Erinyes was soso(good mix of Speed, firepower, Tank and Agility but low on Missles and stored energy for the bigger guns). The Ares was the real Ultra Heavy Fighter(simlar to the Herc in FS I, while the Herc II compleetly sucked in FS II because beeing a much weaker tanked and armed ship) in FS II. Nearly 2k unguided Missles and all 6 Turret Slots for the biggest guns mountable(puls powercore that supports trigger happy pilotes) and realy thick Armor. Was a bit slow but how needs speed if you can kill next to anything in the Fighter Class with just 2-3 Seconds Focusfire or Corvets during fly by.
Still wishes they would have made a FS III. ---- Nerf Tank - Boost Gank!

The explosions were amazing for the time and the plots for both FS 1 and 2 were excellent with great twists.
FS 2 was the first game I played where you had to die to win the game. Fallout 3 used the same ending 9 years later!

How wantŠs to get out of a epic battle like this one? Surviving was overrated anyway since the endings where you die where much cooler instead of the "The Shivans will return but not to your livetime." While the the endings where you die describe you as front line Pilote that have seen all battles in the war and given his live in the final battle to let other Ships escape and save her lives.
Realy reminds me at the Opener where a Skeleton next to a crashed Herc sends a SOS to get rescued, and the Background voice telling about the Great War in the first part that nearly killed Mankind and shut down a hole warp passage while taking on the Lucifer mid Warp to Terra.
I loved the WTF effect as even the command stoped counting incomming jugernaut class ships and you realized that you are in a battle you canŠt win no matter how many ships you kill and the epic ending where the Shivans blown away the hole Solar System after using the force of 100 Jugernauts to blow up the sun and anything within the System(including ships, Moons and Planets) with the resulting Shockwave.

Those remind me of "rumoured" ships from 4 years ago ... when I started my eVe career, there was a "Elite Mining Frigate" visible on the Market (if you unchecked the "show only available" box) that had the same stats, looks and everything as the T2 Bantam (Sparrow) on that website ...
So, to me, it looks like some really old "abandonned projects" that were left in the code ... and subsequently extracted to a database on the web ... without being really activated in-game ... |

Also, tbh, Ares/Herc Mk1 sucked due to **** maneuverability and bad weapon banks' positioning. Erinyes/Ulysses have it so much better tbh Well, at least for someone with 80% of his shots hitting targets

Hitting 80% off all shots isnŠt this complex if you mostly go for big ships anyway. Also with both Herc/Ares you donŠt dogfight much, you take out enemy Wings incomming allready on range. Also the huge diffrence was that the Herc/Ares actual where able to do more than fire short bursts and mount the most devastating and energy hungry rapid fire guns(Prometeus in FS I and Maxim/Kaysler on FS II, god I loved the shaking effect with my FF Joystick it realy feeled like using a Weapon, bigger than your ship could actualy handle ). DPS of 4 Kaysler and 2 Maxim Cannons(both extrem DPS and rapid firing with huge range) puls the ability to fire unguided Tempest Rockets to was actualy this devastating that taking out Bombers and Cruisers where faster than fighting other Fighters(that actualy melted in seconds to).
Herc/Ares are pure win, give your target a bit room to manuver, donŠt stick to close to it and destr0y it with a short burst if you manage to get it in your Crosshair, I loved the concept of a heavy Assault fighter that can dish out a extrem DPS next to constant and can take on even bigger ships nearly solo because of his extreme durability(send Wingmates after Fighters and focus yourself on the bigger Targets) there was only a single Mission(where you had to defend a Station till it was evacuated with several bomber waves from diffrent directions that required a quicker ship) where I didnŠt stick to the Herc in FS 1 when it was avaidalbe.
Ulysses and Erinyes was the little girls toyes in the fleet pricise and fast but not durable and steady while the Herc/Ares where the real mens choice(with Force Feedback set to max on the stick) that made Combat realy feel like gooing all out there shoot them into pices.
Will check for some new content on the Net, thx for the Info.
