I don't understand the lack of this tab for Carriers.
Can anyone, if possible, make a recommended list for CCP and myself, please.

cap skills 5/5 jump skills 4(range)/4(fuel)/5(cap use) shield skills, the more at 5 the better (compensation probably not so much needed, as well you will most likely have active hardeners on). capital shield booster, and cap remote shield transfers must have drone skills, again the more 5s the better, fighters 4, tech 2 sentries, tech 2 heavies, t2 scouts, e-war drones. carrier 4
probably a bunch of other ones D:

Core Competency - Basic Resource Havesting - Basic Armor Tanking - Basic
I think that should get you off to a good start, though there's probably some additional certificates that'll provide more versatility once you've mastered the basics.

lemme help you out here, skill certificates as they are in game are almost completely useless and the skills to get the various certificates make no sense whatsoever, you are better off just talking with someone that flys the ship or numerous people that fly the ship and gathering a general idea of what it takes. |

One of the most ignorant comments I've ever read.
I really like Lamborghini's but could never afford one so I shouldn't ask how fast it goes or how well it drives?

Yes but you know how to drive a car, you know roughly how a car works and you are in contact with them daily, that's quite a difference. |

This is headed in an amusing direction.

It likely is, however, that doesn't make it entirely untrue. If you've been playing long enough to accumulate the isk and the ship skills for a carrier, you should probably have a fairly decent grasp on how to fit it/ what support skills you should have as well. |

What people don't realise in saying "if you have to ask you're not ready" is that it's precisely the other way around. If you're NOT snooping around and trying to find out as much stuff as possible, I'd say you're very bloody likely to not be ready for it at all. --- RBJ |

The problem with this is the assumption that the people who spend even a few seconds snooping around fail to find the information they need. Anyone who is really taking capital ships seriously has already found the information, in one of the countless threads asking the exact same question. ==========

I learned everything I know about fitting cap ships from browsing killboards. Same basic concept.

What's the difference between that and asking people? Asking people is just another way of finding stuff out. If I have a question here at work I start by asking people I know might have the answer, if they don't I google it. It's ridiculous not to use the most obvious and readily available information source.
