I currently have a corp with an alt that has a empire medium caldari pos with 2 adv labs and 2 reg labs and defensive structures. moon harvsters working and a complex reaction going on all the time.
The game wont let me transfer the pos and everything to the another alt. I started a new corp and want to have it all under that new corp. how do i do this? i can put the pos offline, unattach, etc..but it wont let me give it to my new alt.

Unanchor the tower, then the new corp puts it up again

As above.
POS don't belong to players - they belong to corps. If you want the POS in the new corp, you have to tear it all the way down, then have someone in the new corp put it up again. If the new corp doesn't have the standings, you won't be able to put it back up. ----------------

Fail. Moon mining and reactions don't work in empire. |

I didnt think it would be as easy and unanchor and reanchor with the alt and corp i want it under. seems too easy. what about the complex reactor and things like that...does that just switch over after i anchor the pos with the new corp? |

They do, actually, but only in 0.3-0.1 space. As for POS structures, they all have to be offlined and unanchored, which takes ages, and then reanchored and onlined again once the tower has been anchored by the destination corp. --- Can't afford that BPO? 0.3-0.1 are conventionally called 'low-sec', (0.4 also), while 'EMPIRE' is usually used to refer to 0.5 and greater space. This is where th apparent confusion has come from. Just because a 0.3 system has an npc sovereignty does not make it 'EMPIRE' space.

I don't think that's the convention at all. The entire basis for calling it Empire space is that it has NPC sovereignty. There are two kinds of space: Empire and 0.0. There are two kinds of systems within Empire space: high-sec and low-sec.

I agree with you however the distinction of NPC needs to be made. Empire space refers to any space controlled directly through sov by the 4 main factions (Amarr, Gallente, Caldari, Minmatar) or indirectly (Khanid, Ammatar). It DOES NOT include NPC space controlled by NPC groups outside of those 4 empires such as Venal (Guristas), Outer Rim (ORE), Syndicate, etc. |

You are either wrong about the security, lieing, or a troll. Moon harvesters can not be anchored in 0.5 systems.

Neither can reactors. --

Well, it's all irrelevant, because the answer is simple. You can't transfer ownership of a POS. Someone in the old corp must un-anchor EVERYTHING with the control tower being the last thing to un-anchor, and then someone in the new corp must re-anchor EVERYTHING again.
It is a pain, and takes ages. All jobs must be canceled and everything must be emptied. You have to wait for the un-anchor timers when you take everything down, and then wait for the anchor (and online) timers as everything is put back up again.

Uggh. Everything must be emptied out first before unanchored? This will be a long night, considering a list of some of the things I have so far at the top of my head. lol. At least I know its possible. Thanks :)

lol. It's a pain to be honest. Getting someone to haul fuel to a low sec area is almost impossible, and the areas to mine ice and such nearby give out the wrong things I would need. You always find stuff out after the fact, lol.

Along with his setup and the fact that he will be offlining and unanchoring everything. I see some people having a field day with this one.

I agree with this, but I hear many people equating high-sec with empire, which makes no sense to me. High-sec already has a name: high-sec. Empire refers to non-0.0, IMO. |

the pos will remain property of the CORP and not the player that put it up. what happens if that alt is in an alt corp alone and is the last person to shut the door and turn out the light? hell if i know, but im willing to bet something bad. whats so bad? just offline it and unanchor, lazy. |

If a corp disbands with POS still in space, it goes offline, and no-one can unanchor it. The corp, once disbanded, cannot be war-decced, so if a tower from a disbanded corp is in high sec the only way to remove one is to petition it. --- Can't afford that BPO? jeeez didn't know i needed to spell it out. How much effort is it to create a char (even on a trial account) to baby sit the corp during the switch...
