namron 7 1-800-FUBAR 62	Posted - 2012.04.17 16:22:00 - [1] - Quote Hello i need some help regarding joining a nullsec alliance and i need to know a few things 1. Which ones are best for me. 2. Which ones i would be best for. 3. Which ones would have me. I would like to pew pew in small gangs/solo/some fleet fights. Be self sufficient. Dont want CTAs unless something fundemental to the alliance/corp is threatened. I dont know enough about SOV apart from SOV is EVE hardcore mode and has a lot of politics. Nullsec non SOV does not have those hassles. Only what ive heard. I know very little about the quality of nullsec alliances/corps but id like some views on the following. 1.Goons. The only way in is through SA. But ive heard that they are good to their own even if they are terrible to everyone else 2. Pandemic legion. Heard good and bad, but mainly good 3. Hydra reloaded. First class pvpers, although im sure that some would argue against. 4. Test Alliance please ignore. I know nothing about them apart from that they are a force in the west. 5. Eve university :). I heard that they have a nullsec presence now and that could be a way in. EVE uni comes under attack a lot for creating carebears but they have plenty of members who can fight. I did not want this to be TL:DR but can you offer any thoughts on where to go on whats on offer in nullsec and if the doors to the major alliances are shut to unknowns Thanks for the help Thanks for the help

So if you have those skills and the kill record, it might work. test and goons need respective redit, and SA accounts. Could be worth it, but have to wait. Some enitys hold sov, others don't that does not mean a lack of politics. Pandemic, evoke and hydra are the epicenter as much as anyone else is (making arrangements over who holds certain gold mines). I can't say I know much about you, but judging that you are new to it, I would suggest none of the above. Something newbie friendly, English speaking (just ignore the lot of the east and south), without requiring a account on a forum if you can't wait 2 months. That limits it to IRC and other members of the CFC northwest that are not goons or test.

If you don't take part of defending or sieges of systems your not very usefull. Enough people rat and carebear on the backs of the 'hardcore' players they don't need many more. Industrialists are needed but it isn't about the individual but the corp or alliance. They need to fuel 100 POS get mins for ship replacements with little to no thanks. Team player is vital and pick a team or a corp and make the commitment. To many corps in your history is wrong. The better a KB you have the better the options. 1000 kills is better then 10. So start small if you never been in 0.0 and make your corp look good and carve a good reputation for yourself. Hope this helps and I am sure there is more but using my phone to type this is laggy and driving me nuts...

Plenty of good info in there I did some pvp but i was in highsec. one thing ive never liked is that most pvp in Highsec is the prepared killing the unprepared and it never felt that great. Wardeced a 7 man corp solo. they disappeared into a WH for a week endless stuff like that. Null seems a better game to me in that its the prepared fighting the prepared. or at least i hope its that. They do the whole small gang warfare which is a lot of fun and the sov issue for you is non-existent. You can bank a lot of ISK just by running sites and such. I wouldn't *****-foot with any alliance who controls anything lower then a C5. The only bad part about wormhole living is logistics. The best part is, the small gang fights allow for you to fly bling ships without a huge chance of being smashed. Also, no local is epic. Just seems like they would give you everything you want without the politics. Just make sure the alliance is big enough and active. Give it a shot.

Such as in battle refitting, spider triage carrier tactics. Afaik - they dont bother with SOV space, live in some random WH and kick ass when invited to a good fight... I still remember that video where they kicked ass in 2 archons + 12 BS fleet vs. 4 mothership + with carrier, dread and large BS fleet... they would have popped the hel if mechanics back then didnt allow for 15 min logoff timer in heat of battle If you like wardecs and popping expencive carebear fits in hisec with little to no resistance -> then 0rphanage is your flavor I.

Are you willing to go on deployments and deal with the blob? Are you willing to lose several ships defending the space which you make isk in? Are you going to spend all your time making isk? Regardless the CFC is probably the most stable entity at the moment. Goons and Test are solid choices in terms of stability. Both of these guys have a great infrastructure and community. Be warned, if you can't handle being trolled then do not join TEST. It is full of trolls. The south is not stable and I advise to not go that way unless you have exhausted all other options. Nulli is decent and they may be the only worthwhile entity to join in the south. They can brawl I will give them that. If the answer is no for the first 2 questions and yes to the last question then you have no business being in a 0.0 alliance. Do not be a worthless null sec care bear like so many out there.

You won't get into PL or Hydra, Joining Test or Goons you will be part of a 60k man coalition, expect tons of useless spam, likely get scammed trying to join or once you have joined, being a pawn comes with its benefits if ship reimbursement is important to you. I suggest moving to NPC 0.0 and finding people to pvp with there that are active in your own timezone to get some practice. Jumping into 0.0 sov warfare is ok if you are going to be part of the blob because your skills are not important and you will likely be shooting targets that dont shoot back (POSes) or people running from your multiple full fleets. If you want fights, wormholes could be fun and limit the potential for such blobbing, also good at learning scan mechanics of pvp. GL and for goodness sakes anyone else our there reading this do yourself a favor and stear clear of goons and the pets, it will tarnish your corp history and likely your pvp experience will be useless and other corps/alliances wouldn't want you in the future ;)

Nullsec is easy. Easy isk, alliances with great benefits (on both sides of the war) and lots of allies for anyone who wants them. Hard Eve is lowsec. If you havnt tried to live in lowsec for a year or two, you dont even know what Eve on hard mode is. Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.
