Terza Torre Vanguard Frontiers Intrepid Crossing 0	Posted - 2011.09.13 10:16:00 - [1] - Quote In the last days I made a lot of guristas plexes but the escalation rates and drop rates seem to have changed a lot. As an example, in 7 days, I made about 6 gurista bases, 8 gurista fortesses, 3 gurista military complex and NO ONE of this escalated (previously i would have got at least 4-5 escalation on these). I aso make 4 Pith penal comples and 3 military operations complexes and the last boss dropped absolutely nothing apart from the overseer effects.... Finally the gurista DED 6 in 0.0 seems extremly rare now but, when u get it, the last boss drops are good. Is this normal or there have been some changes in loot tables and escalation chances? TT

No amount of players have a sample size anywhere near big enough to say whether or not they've been changed. From what I've seen in the Exploration chat channel in game people have still been making billions and getting lots of drops, so it seems you must have done something to get on Lady Luck's bad side :D

TT Sample size for each site is too small. Please return with a minimum of 100 for each site you wish to complain about (and even then you will still be subject to a rather large margin of error, a sample size of 1000 would be ideal). In short, random is random, run more sites.

Type in exploration in to channel finder perhaps?

On a second thought, keep providing us killmails. Escalations and drops seems to be normal for me (serpentis space).

Because exploration in general is something CCP hasn't cared about forGÇª ohGÇª 2-+ years. Any dev that wasted time on something as difficult as changing the database to alter balance (cf. hybrids) or to alter the economy (cf. insurance) would immediately be fired. Out of a cannon. Into the sun. Also, as the above examples show, 2-+ years is far too little time for such a change, even if they had the manpower to do it. Hyperbole aside: unless there have been significant talk about exploration and several dev blogs discussing imbalances, and a threadnought or two discussing the end of the world/second coming, you can pretty safely assume that you're just another victim of the RNG. This. Sometimes I don't get any loot after doing quite a few sites. Sometimes I get average loot. And occasionally, I get a lot in a short amount of time, like 5 Vindicator BPCs (+others) in 1,5 weeks.

If yes, how do you know you haven't been getting poor loot because of the fact that drops are random?

What you actually need to collect to send to CCP is data. No-one has so far presented any kind of data that points to exploration being broken in any way.
