What is the best ship for extended AFK-jumping shopping trips?
I've got a Tristan, but it has quite limited cargo capacity. Recently I've looked at Interceptors (I can fly Caldari) and they look nicer with 13.5 or 9.0 AU/sec warp speed and 150 m3 cargo space, and fast STL travel speed (in excess of 400 m/s), and 3 LOW slots which lets me double cargo capacity although at the expense of STL speed.
Still, 300 m3 cargo space isn't all that much. Would a T1 frigate like the Kestrel be better? It only does 6.0 AU/sec, but it has an STL speed at almost 300 m/s with my skillz, and with 2 LOW slots I can pimp the cargo capcity to almost 500 m3.
Am I overlooking something?

A Sigil with 3xOD IIS and 2xInertia Stabs? Very quick to train and holds a lot more then what you are looking at below. Not great for low sec though.

I dont want to go into any details, because quite frankly you cannot be serious.
But I'll still try to be constructive:
Drag MWD to quickslot 1. Put weight on F1 key.

The cov-ops Transports are nice.
With a couple of inertia stabs they align nice and fast, and a 9.0 AU warp speed and carry 3750m3 or more (Viator anyways - not sure on the others). |

But Caldari Blockade Runner only has a raw STL velocity of 165 m/s, and since my intended use is AFK flight, that's not particularly good... And with only 2 LOW slots, there's not much I can do to make it fly faster.

Caldari has 2 Interceptors. Same cargo capacity, and same number of LOW ****s, but one has ever so slightly faster STL than the other, although only 9.0 AU/sec compared to 13.5 AU/sec. Am I correct in assuming that the faster FTL speed will rarely make any difference whatsoever?

STL is an acronym for what?
I know it means the velocity out of warp, but I can't figure out where you're getting that o_O
To answer your question, it basically depends on how much you're bringing with you / bringing back. Figure that out, find the fastest ship you can fly that can carry that much, and use that. if you need a lot of space for a frig, try a probe. 400 m3 and decently fast. __________________________________

Hazarding a guess at Slower Than Light, as opposed to FTL (Faster Than Light)? And by the way, don't signatures like this which make a point of the fact there's no clear divide between sig and post annoy the hell out of you? |

Without stickying F-key for mwd? Iirc, in order of increasing cargobay size and decreasing speed: Claw, Probe, Prowler.
Sigil is also pretty nice for a cheap T1 alternative. Almost 335m/s with 1500m3 at full skills. With minimal skills that would be ~270m/s at 1290m3. 600+m/s with AB. More space for reduced speed.

WTF are you moving around that's valuable enough to consider yourself a "serious shopper", and fits in 300m3? And how are you making enough money off of it to be considered viable if you're AFKing with it in a non-transport?
And where do you shop, and what time of day are you usually afk? |

Definitely the Probe: Can be kitted out to travel up to 550m/s or to carry nearly 1000m3 of cargo. By a country mile the best of the hauler-frigates. |

Cov Ops scouts are the fastest warpers and have a fairly respectable cargohold.
Put two warp speed rigs on a cheetah and you'll have a 30million shuttle that warps at 19.4 au/s and aligns in 3s with 200m3 of cargospace.
Cant beat that. Esp. if you put a weight on the MWD button and cram some Micro Cap Battery for enough juice for full warps. |
