ok i have a 3meg broadband connection and i get the lag aswell it isnt just when pvp it is also npc hunting alone you dont notice it but when you are with someone and you are both on ts and he is fighting rats and your screen is cleer then it tends to **** you off
I have complained to ccp a few times but every time they say there is nothing in the logs to prove it i have supplied tracert's while it has been happening and they have been an average of 21ms i have allso supplied logserver details of the events and ccp deny they have a problem
believe me Monk it isnt just dail up connections that get this but like i said it is impossable for anyone to tell unless they have a third party program running like ts at the time obviously in pvp it shows up more but when solo and rat hunting it is virtually undetectable untill you die to stupid targets.

The fact people still use dialup these days when DSL is only slightly more expensive, in some cases actually cheaper than dialup packages - amazes me.

All I can say is that playing EVE started to get more difficult with my former connection (56k) too...
I know it doesn't help you, but I'm really lucky that ADSL just became available for me... so I only experienced it for ~ two weeks  .

yep its always cool to fight in a frig without seeing whats going on, but hell my vigil even killed 2 intereceptors with that problem

Half the ppl here id imagen would have ADSL if they could but they cant so they use 56k
my exchange is about to be actived on wednesday, only taken 2 years and considering i only live 19 miles from the center of london! and can see the middle of london from my road
but yes i have noticed this only a little tho
as for the person with BT 200 hours. i changed to clara's one, who it cost be a arm and a leg at ú27 a month but you get alot more hours. still takes the **** as ADSL is cheaper

Synapse, one of our best PvP'ers hasn't logged in for 5 days or something simply because he can't PvP.

This is still an issue for me.
No other lag on dialup, in fact its noticeably better than it used ot be. However, in any situation, click to activate module = nothing for at least 30 seconds.

Around three times the price here, and oh, wait, I can't get it here. I can get it approximately one city block from here, but unless my house grows legs, I'm kind of out in the cold. Now, if you'd like to buy out a phone company near me, roll it out, and give me a good deal on it, send me a call. 
Anyway, on topic, I haven't been shot by a player at recently, so I can't say anything about that. Haven't been around players shooting at players, so I'm no help there either. However, shooting at NPCs while other players also shoot at NPCs seems fine and dandy to me. Of course, when some Gallente wench unleashes nine thousand drones, it all goes to hell, but I've heard that's a problem for everyone.

I too don't have a problem with NPC's.
I'm only using Dialup as I'm inbetween dsl providers. But I certainly used dialup for the first 6 months of Eve and I never had this problem then.
Its not my PC. I had this problem on my old PC, I have just been delivered a completely new system on which Eve was reinstalled on a fresh OS with updated drivers (new modem etc). Same thing.
I don't expect it will get fixed any day soon, but it would be nice if it was at least acknowledged, for those who'll still be on dialup when I'm reconnected to DSL.
