I was out with my buddy Raf and we were cruising around in our pimped out T2 Frigs. We played cat and mouse with some lowsec ratters. All's cool. Local spikes, then drops to just us two a few seconds later. We spotted them just as they jumped out. That's the moment when we both shouted "gatecamp!" in fleet. Sure enough, they had 6 men in Cruiser to BS sized hulls camping the other side. We of course escape without so much as a shot exchanged, despite their best efforts to lag us out with drones (since they started hardening the server, this tactic no longer works the way it used to. Sorry gents!)

This is not the first such scenario I've seen go down in lowsec. Every time it happens I Escape. Do you know how? Because gate camps don't work in lowsec. They just don't. Oh sure you catch BS's and stupid industrialists, but they just don't work. (this is a subtle hint that gate guns are killing eve lowsec combat.)

Additionally, for some reason every corp and alliance has this misconception- They can fight gorillas if they just camp gates enough and dock up in stations. This just doesn't work. If you want to get rd of harassing pirates, don't do it with BS gangs and gatecamps, actually FIGHT US. Most of us are looking for fun fights, quick clean and painless. If you want to kill us, fight on our terms and be good at it, or set traps. The idea of blobbing is terribly ineffective. Stop trying. With the recent buff to AF's and Interceptors, your simply NOT going to catch us, and we sure as hell are going to catch your ratters and mission runners with their pants down eventually.
