3 years ago at fanfest there was a video on a working planetary interaction engine it was promised by 2007 ..... so my question is wehre and when do we get it |

...It seems, You can get it anytime you want! Just leave your basement and go on the streets, meet other people, get interaction... planetary interaction...
Cant get _everything_ right now. Even if you really want to, even if you demand, and ask questions.
Obviously, Planetary Interaction will take much more time to develope, much more than CCP estimated back in 2006.

I cannot think of a reason to implement planetary interaction at this point - if there's flight invovled the population gets spread over far more space which in effect won't do any good. Also it's probably a lot of work for something that just doesn't fill a purpose right now.
Maybe we will see more for planetary interaction at this years fanfest, though i doubt that - there're probably other projects in the pipeline that are alot more necessary for the game than that (WiS, 0.0 revamp, industrie, science and mining revamp, still some graphics overhaul, probably more iterations to FW, UI renewal, stuff) and maybe, just maybe even the WoD MMO somewhere in 2010...who knows. |

I could be mistaking, but I think you are confusing Planetary interaction with the "Atmospheric Flight Demo" that was shown at fanfest some years ago. I'm also interested in knowing where we said that we promised to deliver it in 2007.
