As a caldari piulot if i wanted to solo lvl 5 missions (is it even possible) what ship would i need to use and what setup would i need to run? Money isnt a factor within a few billion reason=p.. Thanks

While there are many missions you can tank in a good passive shield ship (nighthawk, drake for example) There are others that have enough DPS to beat a passive tanked BS with a logistics ship supporting it.
So I would say the answer is to bring a friend or two. But if you get am easy level 5, any of the normal uber-tank passive shield boats will do.

Well u could always use a carrier if the mission allows you.
Then u are technically soloing ;)

Had a former CEO who did these solo in an abaddon.
obv not a caldari ship... but still

Tbh i doubt that so much since i havent done a single lvl5 that doesnt have neuting towers in it.
which renders his ship dead in the water. |

haha... ya passive abaddon with high grade slaves.
He did last all of about 1 minute. Kept shooting for about 10 seconds.
I would love to show you my level 5 mission ship fits that I put on evelopedia. However sadly ISD salpsan destroyed my page... among others. So sucks to be you guys.
Short version. You basically want Ishtar, Nighthawk, or Vulture.
Most of the time you should be able to passive tank and theoretically solo. Except your dps is so crappy you will want a dps dealer to come along in order to kill faster... that way pirates dont have ages to scan you down. |

due to the way sig tanking works you can tank big sections of lvl 5s in anything down to t2 cruiser. it does require a thourough knowledge of spawns obviously to avoid instant-death like webs or inty swarms. and it takes all frikkin day. Wingmen ftw
