I think if you actually tried this the whole system would lock up if not the node. If concord only sends 3 ships per person. It would get ugly REALLY fast.

I take it that once you reach a certain level of popularity, people adore/hug/stalk you only slightly less then always and a new kind of fan emerges...

I think we'd all be better off ammassing on March 9 around the Veldnaught, and sacrificing some Veld to make sure ApoChrippha works well.

you would need 2000+ 1000Dps+ ships to take down the veldnought. That is you can get them all to shoot at exactly the same time and all hit for full dmg. but yes it is physically possible but very dificult. |

It's not REAL stalking until they want to have sex with you IRL. Other than that it's just fawning fans and/or punks looking for an e-peen boost.
Not that I would know from personal experience. More's the pity.

Yes, surely the quickest path to destruction of the Veldnaught is to make a thread in GD about it. I don't see how this plan can fail! |

Edited by: Dirk Magnum on 22/01/2009 20:30:34 Start an alt corp and put some really loyal members of your main corp into it. Then use that alt corp to war dec Chribba's alliance. Then have that whole alt corp log off in space somewhere in Amarr, and never log in again for weeks (if necessary.) The main corp then keeps their eyes open for the Veldnaught. If Chribba becomes complacent and takes the ship out for a spin through the asteroids, it's time to spring the trap.
A small cohort of members in the corp that declared the war log on in Ceptors and/or EW frigates. The population of Amarr is high enough that they may not be immediately visible in local (probably best to use people with names starting at the middle or end of the alphabet.) These guys immediately gang with a "neutral" mining frigate sitting near the Veldnaught happily jet mining and warp in on it, at which point of course they tackle the Veldnaught. The remaining corp then logs in and that's that. You don't need that huge a number of gank ships to take down an unsupported Dread, and I mean how many combat alts does Chribba have in proximity to Amarr anyway?
I imagine he'd probably have a cyno made available somewhere while he was being attacked and just jump to it before the Dread was actually killed though. But either way, the ship is removed from Amarr and it's the end of an era. You get fifteen minutes of fame and also become the most hated people in Eve. Congratulations you won. Winners don't use drugs.
This all assumes of course that Chribba actually would bring the ship out while in a state of war, even if no war targets have been spotted for weeks on end. If he doesn't... well just drop the dec and never speak of all that time wasted again.

In other news, Chribba gets food poisoning and has to have his stomach pumped. Large amounts of Veldspar and Miner II radiation where found. Also found was what appeared to be exhaust burns around the groin region which contained traces of fusion particles. |

Don't try to gank him in the belt, the veldspar would just get between his armor and your guns.

CCP would move it to lowsec if he even undocked it during a wardec. New CCP Capitals-in-High-Sec rules.

But as long as it had no armament or combat drones the ban wouldn't apply I thought. I remember the whole deal with how they removed all the high sec caps for a bit before reinstating them with a clarification of the rules, but I don't think I ever actually read the official post (just sort of got it filtered through other peoples' comments), so I dunno.

Edited by: sleepyhead87 on 22/01/2009 21:38:22 Edited by: sleepyhead87 on 22/01/2009 21:37:52 Chribba originally had a dreadnought built in high sec, but never moved it. Some people spotted it and informed CCP. CCP contacted Chribba and Chribba promised to only use it to mine veldspar. CCP said fine. Supposedly new GM sees Dread in high sec, and moves it without telling Chribba. Chribba goes wtf? Fans go WTF!?! CCP says "Sowwiez, noob GM, we moobs bak for u."
Translation: It originally was just an informal agreement between cap ship owners in high sec and CCP. Then they made the rule about no cap ships in high sec. An unnamed GM cleaned out all the caps in high sec unaware of the informal agreement made.
This happened to other people as well, but only Chribba's case was popularized. ___________________________

No you don't, because Concord will make DPS a pointless measure. What you need is a couple of hundred ships with 4000 volley damage, because that's all they're going to deliver.
It doesn't matter if that volley can be delivered every four seconds (ie 1000DPS) or every 50s (80dps) as long as it can be delivered in one shot. If you have ships that match the respective shield/armour resistance holes, you can get by with much less.
…for much the same reason, remote rep wouldn't help either. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |
