Why not to do:
1) POS cloackables.
2) Cloacked objects detectables by a contest between strenght of cloacking device (type, range of the field, structure type) vs strenght of probes, PG skill, new accessories (modules and rigs).

Lets assume probes can scan down cloakers
You use the most accurate probe at and land 10 km from the cloaker. Now what? is it up or down, left or right? you want to spend the next 2 hours combing space?

Cos nobody blobs in eve and would not drop 50 ships with dictors on the 10km spot....... |

Those that wish to probe out cloakers in their space tend to have that many if not more, and at a 10km range you would need considerably less than 50. |

I am against any feature designed specifically to help the blob be more powerful against lone targets
The game already favors the blob too much

It's hard enough to probe out and catch someone with a brain in a small ship that has no cloak. Good luck with the cloakers then ...
For the cloaker this would mean less convenience and more challenge annoyance because he has to switch safespots or CTRL+Q if the blob comes with a prober.

The cool thing about probes is the accuracy value is not like WITHIN 10km if that's what it says. It's EXACTLY 10km.
So, warp to 10km. pop can, orbit @10km.
Most cloackers do tend to move while cloaked tho, but that's not my main point. |
