I used to find it funny when I sentry tanked solo in my Raven and 'victims' used to evemail the ceo/directors of the corps I was in insisting that they expel me from the corp and reimburse the value of the ship in isk.. i mean DOH.
'pirate corps!' The more complaint mails we recieve, the more respect our members have as pirates... go figure carebear mentality, as its follows no logic.
The best victims in this game are 12 month old player accounts who have a 0.0 security status and fly a bs.... they always ***** about being ganked, when the scariest thing they've dealt with prior to meeting a pirate is an asteroid.

Sometimes when I read posts on these forums I wonder if people actually understand the concept of "Role playing"

Why is it that people have such a hard time with this? This is a ROLE PLAYING GAME. Pirates are a ROLE you can PLAY in this GAME. In fact one of the best evil characters I ever meant in RP game was a cop in real life. When I go online and play Navy Seals, some of the best "terroists" are actual members of the military and police force.
Just because a person PLAYS a pirate doesn't mean in RL they are a criminal or bully. People that believe this game is a reflection of people's real life personality, need to give up RP games. Next thing you know they will be running around in the sewers stabbing each other with real knives.

I totally agree. Ive only ever sent one hate mail, it was really terrible and i was ashamed to hell when i had cooled down. An old friend had taken me by suprise, turned pirate and put me in a pod - i had been flying towards him just to say hi, and he turned around and put me in a pod, so i got really angry, calling him all sortsa stuff. So if the person im talking about reads this post- sorry again, i didnt know any better. To me it had felt like a betrayel IRL, but it wasnt at all, infact he was very friendly until i sent that stupid mail

I think the first time i got podded was by {Moo mOo moO Mo0 ?} somehwere in serpentis. I was in a imiscus lol. I ventured out there within my first week of playing to see what it was like,
and i had fun i like getting podded.
The best is when you forget to buy a new clone and you get smaked with like an extre 5 days of training.
The olny thing i get when i loose me ship is sometimes depressed :=(
Depressed that i suck soo much and lost to a noob ship agane.
depressed that i fell asleep with autopilot on to 0.0 space.
Depressed that i made some 40 jumps out into enimy space and now i have to venture back ina pod.
Its a game or a life but Smashing things and insulting ppl is mean and you shouldnt blame other people for YOUR Mistakes

well i've been in EVE for 5 days now i ws mining in .1 on my second day in my rookie ship i haven't had any player even try to kill me wile mining or just traveling through 0.0, i have been poded in pvp twice, once having a fun battle with my friend, my rooike ship got him good..lol and by someone who came to kill me becuase i smacktalked him in a irc.
But for pirates i say let em kill, its part of the game, it would so boring with out it.
if you like non-vilent games go play babie.
i'll be collecting the bounty's off these pirates oneday >:D

But I never sent any evemails to the pirate who destroyed my ship. I just put it down as a learning experience and now I quite happily live in 0.0 all the time. Having pirates around just adds spice to my mining and npc hunting life in 0.0 and I haven't lost a ship yet *touch wood*
I also really wish you other cry baby miners would stop your whinging! You are giving the rest of us a bad name. Once you go below 0.5 be prepared to take the consequences or don't go! simple as that.
