Wration and Torren,
If you guys are Caldari and interested in fighting you should join a Military oriented corp like ours. We actually provide all ships for official military operations including frigates like Kestrels, Griffins, as well as Cruisers (Blackbirds mainly) for FREE. We corp-inusre our ships so if u loose it we just build you another. This way you can focus on skill advancement and having fun.
We are self sufficient so we wiil occasionally do mining ops to make our own supplies for the next major engagement. This is usually a deep space big corp event that brings in a couple hundred million of ISK in minerals.

Bantam AND Condor is a good cheap combo until you have some good skills. I've gotten Badger 1s for 150k with buy orders. You should get a hauler as soon as you can too.
