that's bad tactics... dont blame the ship because of the pilot. ------------------------ To make a megathron from scratch, you must first invent the eve universe. ------------------------ Life sucks and then you get podded. |

having watch all the tournament matches i should say. Ishtar is my favorite for now,yes the ammar bs damage is unique of kind but the versatility of ishtar is just immense. And pandemic leagion showed what a good pilots with the proper skills can do with them. Bulgarian experienced crackers - Sons of Tangra |

100% vagabond... Great ship if the pilot skills are enough and i don't mean number of total skill points :P
6-7 Vagas + little support can beat any setup if the pilots are experienced in Vaga's gang :) |

I think part of FIX's issue was their choice of support ships. Some well thought out Ishkurs would likely have done better than the Taranises, which can really just lay on the DPS nice and thick, and give you a slot or two for ewar.
That said, I do think that some of the faction cruiser setups (Fleet Stabbers and CNCs) have demonstrated that they are very effective, and it wouldn't surprise me to see more teams with them next week. It's hard for me to call an "MVP" ship for the tourney thus far, but the Fleet Stabber is definitely in the running.

so disapointing seeing so many claim for the abaddon....
anyway, might like to look at the sig tanking vaga.... with overheat AB it pulls 1.5k and has a sig of about 156 depending on your rig skills. missiles do next to no dmg on it, plus tracking even on a crusier ship becomes an issue!
however, on the sig tanking idea, try looking at the gank phantasms, with a sig less than 190.. again with good rig skills and having to put a LSEII on. you got to hold back from using a second LSEII cause your only increasing your sig. with AB and couple of NOS (not neuts cause this ship drinks cap) on it... you can put the ship on a tight orbit and provide around 1200 volly and 450 dps, avoiding a lot of missile dmg and holding up around 50k ehp. arrange your hardeners effectively and you can have a spread of 75/70/72/77. You can see the effectiveness in the POS fight, as seen when one got double webbed, he was taking full damage from 8 mega pulses and was able to burn out of the web range and start orbit avoiding anymore dps on his glass armor... even taking FOF hits, the ship survived.

Well I voted for Abaddon, not because I thought it was the best ship - but because it performed better than I had expected during the first weekend. The POS battle showed a much more accurate picture of how I envisioned Abaddons actually performing.
As for the NOS - yea, I agree that Phantasm should have NOS fitted and use short/medium range ammo. Sounds like you went AB instead of MWD on the fit - That's a pretty good idea as I believe it allows for 2x NOS.
I'm really glad that you guys went with the Ishtars + Phantasms... Wish we hadn't been DQ'd in the first match, but I'm really glad that you guys performed well during Match 2. Maybe next year. ------------------------------------------------ There are only two types of ships: those which have blown up; and those which will.

69 sig radius on our stabbers, putting on LSE is a bit counter-productive
unfortunately sleipnirs at least have no trouble tracking you (going 1300 m/s with 69 sig) , guess i should've actually tested the setup a bit before fielding it ;d

Best ship so far is gotta be the Navy Issued Caracal, followed closely by the Stabber Fleet Issued. I have a feeling you will see more teams fielding them before a counter is developed.

I would agree, if it wern't for a certain BB that never died... which was almost certainly the inspiration for the Rook.
As far as utility goes I vote Caracal Navy Issue though.

Actually...
Caracal Navy Issue have rised to be one of my favorites in this tournament. Not a full team of them but few of them far from the other ships.
We have seen 'em be the match maker in many tight matches.
