Yeah it is.
Originally by: Souisa Or the wormholes, which to me just seem like instances and dungeons.
Sorry, but thats incorrect. They might seem like that to someone who hasn't read anything about them. Fact is, that they're just like regular solar systems, but they don't appear on the map, have no stations or gates, and don't allow cynos. They are persistant. The only difference is that the wormholes appear and dissappear. |

I'd most like to see more evidence of civilians NPCs: 1) Planetary, moon and station populations. 2) Refugees & immigrants. 3) More trade goods (to be bought from and sold to the population). 4) More NPC convoys of goods to be ganked and stolen. 5) Ships for hire (npc mercs who can be hired for a few hours to accompany you, to whom you can issue orders (which may not be obeyed very well)).

There should'nt be a currency at all, i think the players would do good in figuring out what to use as a medium of exchange
Currency doesn't come from thin air. Currency comes from Concord. Concord issues bounties on the rats, and thus pays you for killing them. That's why you get good standing with them too. |

*Create player-made battle formations, and command both NPCÆs and other players in epic multiplayer battles.
*Form guilds in the multiplayer game and lay siege to hostile castles. Let the catapults sing their merry song of death as the enemy is brutally crushed to a pulp.
*Explore Hyboria, the legendary world of Conan, presented in incredible graphics and sound.
...no wait! That would never work. Please just keep making expansions for EVE Online.

I just want first person flight control like the old X-Wing games. Strafing a large ship in a fast frigate would be so much fun. Manual aiming for weak points would bring a whole new level to pilot skills.

I want to be able to turn in Loyalty Points or Sec status or something for some NPC backup. I'd take those ridiculous 60km webbing spider drones and those scram frigs everywhere with me.

Y'know, this isn't a bad idea. I remember how cool it was when you could hire NPC mercenaries in MechWarrior 1. Of course, that was a single-player game and Eve isn't...but it'd still be cool, IMO.

I'd be happy if they added in NPC's doing more "Player-like" activities.
Example: NPC barges in mining belts - they may/may not have defensive drones, may have a hauler with them, may even have a full support fleet and would definately be attackable.
This alone would make the NPC factions a little more believeable (e.g. where do the NPC rats get the money to replace all the ships we blow up? to pay for their medical clones in the case of named NPCs?
Oh: and as an addition to the planetary colonisation... player-controlled sub-orbital aircraft (can fly only as far as an orbital station around the planet or between cities on the planet) which would of course have to have flight-sim type controls as flying in atmosphere, close to a planet does not work with the normal Eve control system.

more reasons to leave empire that are .. you know .. reasons to leave.
Less of the 'same but slightly different' such as :
- 'ooh different asteroids in belts', or - 'larger npcs',
but 'things you can NOT do, can NOT access and definitely stuff you CAN NOT bring back with you to empire to sell. BrRAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiNNNNNNZzzzzzzzzzzz |

And it's proving itself to not work right now.
I think EVE2 should definitely have pet system where you enter a cd/dvd into your disk drive and then a randomly generated pet is made based on the info that is on the disk. Then you can level it up through fighting other peoples pets. Also you can breed your pet with other peoples pets to make new species of pets.

Edited by: Destination SkillQueue on 27/01/2009 22:42:02 Onboard scanner that can actually locate the remote position of other vessels and a warp drive that can be activated and shut down at will. There can be a short delay(even slightly random) before the bubble forms or collapses, so it can't be used with pinpoint acuracy in manual mode.
EDIT: Way for ships to run in silent/passive mode to hide from the normal ship scanner. No hiding from probes without a cloak. Just something to make our space submarine simulator more interesting. |

Overpowered IMO. Even recon probes aren't this accurate without some skillpoint investment. |
