Edited by: Kayinan Malrean on 31/07/2004 06:41:16 Of all games, I've so far had the worst experience with the CCP support. However, I just had to file in a petition for a refund of everything I lost due to a bug (log in, and the ship explodes the second you enter the space and as the first thing you see).
I'd be very interested in knowing if they refund such bug/malfunction related losses, or if they even answer the petitions?

Never ever ever, heard of a bug that does this, to prove such a thing you would proberly have had to have the log server running. Which would of give you like 0.1% moreh chance of getting your stuff back.

No, I have a really bad problem. I got an email that gave me to a page with simple fixes to common problems -.-; Well too bad I wouldn't be petitioning if that was the case... so far no human response, all automated. Its horrible.

I petitioned something a week ago and have been getting autoreplies saying that I'm still in the queue, with my problem still not solved.

Well, to me more exact, just as you apparently aren't very well-informed: 1) I run the the client, but it hangs and freezes after character selection, so I have to kill it 2) While server apparently things I've logged online, I restart the client 3) I log in, enter space, and see my ship explode 4) Concord report kindly informs me that my ship was destroyed before I logged online
Now, should it be possible that a ship is destroyed when you, as a player haven't logged online, before you log in and without you logging out during a fight?

my buddy had this happen to him.. we were out killin a nice dual bs spawn, and his tank was holdin up just fine.. then out of nowhere... BOOM!.. then about 5 minuts later.. POP! and he was dead, again, for no reason. his killmail said i had killed and podded him.. but our damage logs didnt show that. anyway he petitioned, and got his clone and implants back in an hour, and the next day a shiny new apoc with all the mods that had been destroyed were sitting in his hangar. so i'd say the petition system works.

Edited by: Fuse on 31/07/2004 08:31:02 I petitioned CCP for a slot that I lost due to a "bug". The GM writes me back and explains to me that he can't give me my slot back because "it would not be fair" to the people that have rented the slot after the slot was released for NO REASON. What is making me angry is... How "fair" is it to me that I loose a research slot 14 hops from anywhere I go and a slot I worked so hard to maintain. CCP support is the worst aspect of this game. At least in the USA you can get decent customer service.
I am $#it out of luck EVERY TIME I have to deal with these guys. 0.o It's not you... no wait it is you. |

Ive had a petiton out about 4 days not to long yet but I can tell from the way its going that they prolly wont ever respond to my petition. Ive gotten several emails stating that they will assume the problem is resolved if they dont hear back from me. I kindly resend the petition well, add on to the one I already have as creating a new petition would surley blow there minds.
CCP voodoo is not happy with the support, " that'll getem goin "
blah very bad support = lack of care for the customer. No two ways about it, crappy support = no care to for the customer.
whats my petition about you ask? Guns starting turning off, mods would not turn on, well basiclly the system just wouldnt work and me died. no fault of my own, there game wouldnt work. not upset about diein cept i died die to faulty system not being able to hold what ccp promised, theres NO fleet battles in eve, all there is is lag parties and everyone knows it.

I've been waiting for 7 days now just to get a human to reply to my petition. That is not how I'd like my support to be if I had a MMORPG running, thats for sure.

Hellwarrior, you will be supprised by the number of people putting in petitions for simple things that appear on that known problems list.
You need to follow the instructions on that Email (dont do what most people do & think its a fob off and ignore it) and you will get the petition infront of a real person.

It seems to depend on what you are petitioning about.
Things like losses to bugs get priority ove stupid questions that would better be asked here or in help channel.
I've petitioned several times about several things and have alwyas been responded to within 24 hours, sundays excepted.
It helps you alot to make sure to send the right petition, state your problem clearly and be friggin nice to the gm's. They get to work lots of them, and i imagine unclear and abusive ones find their way to the back of the queue, as it should be. _______________________________________________

Hello everyone,
All petitions are answered, whether they are ingame ones or through email. If you do not receive a reply to your petition, it may be because of reasons listed here.
That said, we have been under a tremendous load here at GM HQ for a while now, because of various issues. Every time there is a server emergency we are flooded with petitions and we simply do not have the manpower to clear up the backlog as quickly as we'd like. We can only offer our apologies for the delays and assure you that this situation is something we are working very hard to remedy, as we do not like it any more than you do.
Before sending in a petition/email, make sure to check out the knowledge base to see whether your issue is addressed there. Please do not file multiple petitions, as that slows down the answering process for everyone.
Again, our apologies for the problems you may have had getting help lately. We'd like nothing more than to be back to our normal answering times and with a little luck, we will be soon.
All the best,
GM Arkanon

Petition system is a lottery, especially if you've lost stuff to a bug. Getting them to admit the bug exists is hard enough; I've had GMs tell me that something is not a bug, but a "feature" of the game (I sh*t you not!), despite other players having been refunded for the same problem. Consistency isn't their strong point obviously.

So in fact the new petition system just is a stalling mechanism and help filter out stupid questions from people who should have read the helpfiles.
But this lacking petition system will cause people to cancel their accounts. I don't blaim their ship blew up after undocking and you wouldn't get it back.
I feel an ingame demonstration comming up. ___________________________ Favorite bumpersticker of the month: My head hurts! |
