I do hope I posted in the correct forum. Anyway, I just left my corp who were in the middle of a war. I was wondering if the corp we wardecced will still be able to attack me for 24 hours or is it instantanious?
Thank you.

I've got a feeling it's instantaneous, since I've had someone do this to me too.
Not 100% sure though.

My friends, I want you to understand the severity of what the OP is discussing. You see, mavericks like me don't believe in leaving a corporation in the middle of the war. However, the liberals seem to think it's a legitimate tactic, much like the "logoffski" that they hold in such high regard. My friends, leaving a corporation in the middle of a war to avoid a gatecamp or certain death is, in fact, an exploit. Think of Joe the PvPer, trying to make a living in the face of adversity. Liberals like the OP are what is wrong with this great nation, and they should be petitioned immediately! My friends, I want to make it clear that---uhh, what was I saying again? If you need me, I'll be on the Straight Talk Express. Remember, New Eden, country first! |

Sheesh, people are easy to judge again.
If someone wants to leave the corp during war, its their right. I respect that. This game is all about personal pleasure, we only play when we like it, when we don't like something we deal with it in some way, its human nature.

people should be allowed to leave a corp at war, but groups of players should not be allowed to corp hop, example:
Someone hires me to kick a bunch of miners out of a system because they never talk to anyone but they mine all the belts clean every day.
i wardeck corp "weird afk miners" as i do so they all move to corp "weird afk miners2", as i deck "weird afk miners2" they all move to "weird afk miners3", as i deck "weird afk miners3" they move to "weird afk miners4".
I only have 3 warslots so by the time i activate the new wars (24 hours minimum) they can joustle their players through CEO alts so to be NEVER AT WAR.
Since PVP is a fundamental component of EVE there should be a balance, no one should be forced to do it (just you try to force me mine for example) but no one should be completely exempt from it(i really should mine if i want to make loads of isk and pvp in faction phat stuff).
Corp hopping is a problem that should be adressed

AFAIK, this is classed as an exploit. If the *same* group of people disbands one corp, to reform another with the intent of dodging a war... petition them and laugh.

Okay, I personally detest dishonorouble combatants, but that's personal... however i support the fact there is an "out"
Corp votes on war, I disagree, I should be able, as an individual, to opt out (of corp) and avoid consequences.
For a corperation it is different, an entire corp should not have the opportunity to opt out of a war dec instantly as one homogenous (sp?) group. Ppl are paying good money to kill you damnit! have the good grace to die with SOME honour...
