Well I've been thinking about what ship from the Gallente line is the best sub-cap small gang roamer.
Talking Cruiser-Size/smaller MAYBE battlecruiser but gallente tends to be a bit slow there (brutix).
Im currently thinking Ishtar but the nano nerf made me a little unsure. Arazu is very nice and good after QR to.
Any other ships I should be aware of? The Dei-most seems to still be irrelevant. |

IMO the Ranis is the best ever. =P Mine does just a hair under 200 DPS and i eat other interceptors babies for dinner... But i like flying the smaller ships a  lot... |

Ishtar is good but quite expensive,
Ranis, Ishkur, Enyo and Vexor give far more bang for the buck. |

Well, it all depends on your gang, where you're going, what you want to kill, and what you can afford/fly proper.
Arazu is good if you're in a Recon gang and utilize the cov-ops cloak to sit in hostile territory, waiting for opportunity kills on hostile stations. They never know if you're active or afk. Big advantage.
Phobos can have a very nice tank and is a good tackler. Great if your roaming gangs camp gates and stations on the way. Also valuable due to its infinite point scripted disruptor with up to 30km range (skill).
Taranis has superb damage considering the fact that its an interceptor. I can get mine to 260dps easily. In a fast roaming gang you can do alot of good and there's tons of different fits for different roles. Though,
take Ares if you want to tackle but stay out of the hostiles range and utilize your speed to outrun targets and other ceptors.
The Brutix is awesome if you're in a gang with tacklers that utilize scram and web. Get blasters and pimp yourself to 750 dps. Even a Deimos will be jealous! Your main tank will be DPS, kill targets before they can kill you. Best thing: cheap and fully insurable.
Ishtar is very very versatile. Depending on your gang, you can fly a ton of different setups/roles. You can also adopt to situations easily with the huge dronebay.
The Deimos I'd only use for hac sniping gangs. It's not the best, but it gets the job done if you cant fly the Zealot.
Ishkur and Enyo both can go a long way in a small frig-sized, fast moving gang. Depending on what the others bring, you can fit both for short-range DPS or secure sniping. Ishkur is also great to force hostile tacklers off the field with its small drones.
I don't see a reason why you'd fly a Lachesis. The Arazu does everything alot more effective with more security and alot more surprise.
Eris... well, the only thing it can do is drop bubbles, but its the worst Interdictor of all of them. Rather take something else.
Nemesis is a great bomber, but since the last patch its not really that good anymore. I'd rather take something else (Taranis/Ishkur)
Helios if you need a prober and you got good probing skills.
Keres I never used. The worst EWar frig of all of them.

For roaming I'm kinda partial to the ranis and phobos myself, though I haven't played in a while so I'm not up with the current trends. |
