NOT A RANT : This is just for your Information.
Please Note : I didnt get podkilled today. I just have time on my hands cos I cant log in  )
I have been recently killed by NPC. Missles impacting me in pod after the ship was gone.
This does happen.
I cannot quote GM's etc so I say just this :
while NPCs do not pod as a rule, it can happen in rare circumstances. So, while I was very unlucky to be the victim of a NPC podding, it is not something CCP will classify as a bug.
I dont think it will change the world, but it may change how u play or plug implants.
I have played for a year and this has happened only once. 
So it wont be a shock to people now.
No need to petition cause now you know.

Missiles just hit their targets, which a pod is not. They cannot possibly pod you, it was possible before the missile path finding patch though.

Did you have drones out and the rats were firing torps?
Maybe one of the rats was shooting a drone and his torp hit him and splashed your pod... highly unlikely but hey 
It was stated a lot of times that npc's should not podkill and you must be reimbursed |

Not so my friend. I have recovered my lose of 5 implants already , but some may not be so lucky.
So I post to warn, I no longer seek reimbursement as this is seemingly not an option.
I think that the idea of npc's killing on a semi-regular basis is not a bad one.
Its just nice to know it can happen, that its not a bug.
Its now part of life.

Patch 1352 to 1378 addresses Bug fixes and improvements
 There was a remaining case where npc missiles would destroy a player's pod immediately after the preceding missiles destroyed the player's ship. Npc missiles should no longer be able to pod players.
Unless they stated -and I missed it- in patchnotes after that one that now the npc CAN podkill you, everyone must get their implants back. (Trust me, GM's used to replace lost implants due to that)
This is a game, ppl should not read hundreds of forum threads to be able to play it  ... to improve their game ok... but for the basics no

At least in this instance they can verify your claim... I'm just a bit bitter about the petition system and want everyone that is honest in his intentions being treated "fairly".

FIrst step for them is to understand thy game they are gamemastering. Then is to goto typist school so they can answer petitions in blazing speed and accuracy.
Then we got ourself a game where people dont get peeved off when a GM has no idea, or is so ridiculously slow that it makes people mad. I dont blame them. I have never had a problem with support though they usually reply to my very few petitions within 30 minutes.
Luckily I havent had to petition recently I hear it is very bad and out of control.
