This is just an Idea for releasing ships via missions , but when on a combat mission wouldent it be kewl if we see a very minute percentage of the pilots trying to save thier skin by ejecting into a pod and running , thereby leaving an npc pirate fitted ship , that in most cases does not fit the standard spec's of that particular ship ...i.e ships like the kestrel with turet slots or the gaurdian thorax with misile bay ,that pirates have the luxury of piloting ..... it would save the non ship builders getting a BPC that they would need reserching and needing train the skills required for that . if ppl specialise in combat they loose out when it comes to a BPC ... they can sell and make a good profit , but no way near what the builder will make as his losses are ofset in the sale price , this isnt to say that there should be BPC's but some ships could be classed as one off's and it would be the only real way to introduce em into player hands that would fit into the role play side of the game

After all you would be highly ****ed if after a hard combat mission, the NPC ejects and you discover that the highly prised ship you have just earned is completely inaccessable due to the lack of skill requirements.

i actuelly like this idear its one way to allow more custom made ships into EVE
on the downside i feel that the Pod would have to be destroyed for you to get your mission rewards

yeah i think its a cool idea >< well the missions just say they have to be destroyed.. not the pilot killed... also i would like to see more even sets of loot, as in npcs lose their normal 50%/randomized of there equipemnt. not just one or 2 things. will give hunting a boost and make more fun >< and i think more pirates should have pods >< maybe the mission ones just stay there so u cant miss them ;p

in reply to this its quite simmple... you know the ships your up against for this agent so skill for aquisition of property , not just for combat , ya only need the basic skills of each class of ship ATM , this means your skill time is placed firmly where it shold be as a combatant and not aimlessly drwn to other usless feilds to your chosen expertise , all skills for a ship take about a day a time to get lvl 3 , plus weapons lvl3 also a day ,total should take a few weeks , but then this sorta bonus should be classes as very uniquie , if u aint prpared to pick up a ship then it is your own fault

Who said it had to have definate kills requried , if you aint noticed the missions now have scenareos the update as you go along , you may have a kill request on the list , but do ya check the logg every time there is a respawn , last one may say prevent a pirates escape ???
