Ha, you thought it was gonna be a whine.
Quick question, I haven't tried to run multiple clients in about 2 years, and I vaguely remember some hubbub about having to copy the EVE client when the expansion that changed where the caches were stored came out.
Anyways, do I need to copy my EVE client to run a couple of accounts or can I run them out of the same folder?
Cheers

Can't be arsed to dig it up but a dev has stated that whilst you can use one installation to run all your accounts its prefered to make a new folder for each account to avoid any cache corruption issues. So try it out and if you start having problems then do the multiple copy method.

On my laptop I can run 4 clients at the same time off one installed client. That is with premium graphics with I believe every setting maxed, no trouble at all. |

As of (A while back) different installs use a different Application data folder and hence store settings individually. At least its this way in vista. Just name your different folders for eve clients differently. |

for me, single install on winXP and didn't do anything fancy.
i usually run 4 accounts simultaneous windowed mode, 2 monitors. each alt has its own seperate settings automatically. runs flawlessly, never had any problems.

I may try copying EvE because I can't run windowed EvE x 2 off the same folder. It laggs horribly. It's a RAM thing. When running one EvE in non windowed mode, the client needs about 256 mb. When running Windowed EvE x 2 I seem to be using over a gig. Just basing on available memory before and after I close clients. |

I can run 5 accounts on one Computer.
My computer isn't too large, an AMD Phenom 9500 Quad Core, 4 gigs of ram, I've used XP, Vista32 and 64 Bit, Win7 and it runs fine.
I use one install per account. It's a little bit of a pain in the ass on patch days, but it works well. Though now I have that setup on all 3 pc's(2 desktops now, and one Laptop)... Ugh.. 15 installs to update..
