Next tuesday I'm doing a project for my uni on a highschool nearby, and we need to think of quiz questions that are related to car technology.
Examples:
how many colours did the original T-Ford come in?
- 1 - 2 - 3 - any colour you like
who invented the threepoint belt? - nasa - volvo - bmw - daf
Etc.. answer should contain three relatively plausible alternatives..if you have any ideas let them hear :D |

Here's three I did earlier
Question 1. The BMW Z8 features the following three technologies: 'DSC, CBC and TDC'. Listed below the technology is matched to it's description. Select the correct set of technologies with their associated descriptions. Only on of the possible selections is correct.
1. DSC: 'reduces risk of sliding and provides stability on curves' CBC: 'regulates pressure of the break cylinders on the individual wheels during acceleration in curves to help reduce over steering' TDC: 'functions to prevent over-braking caused by shifting down while on a slippery surface'
2.DSC: 'functions to prevent over-braking caused by shifting down while on a slippery surface' CBC: 'regulates pressure of the break cylinders on the individual wheels during breaking in curves to help reduce over steering' TDC: 'reduces risk of sliding and provides stability on curves'
3.DSC: 'regulates pressure of the break cylinders on the individual wheels during breaking in curves to help reduce over steering' CBC: 'reduces risk of sliding and provides stability on curves' TDC: 'functions to prevent over-braking caused by shifting down while on a slippery surface'
4.None of the above are correct.
Question 2. The BMW 507's engine had a cubic capacity (in litres) of:
1. 3200, or 2. 3168, or 3. 2068.
Question 3. The BMW Z8 features a double-VANOS camshaft. What is the Z8's exhaust camshafts opening time? Select the correct crank shaft angle from the list below:
1. 252 degrees, 2. 248 degrees, 3. 39 degrees, 4. 54 degrees.
.. . . .
Q1. Answer is 4. Answer 1 would have been right if it had said 'during breaking in curves'. Trick question. Q2. Answer is 2 but it's always listed as being 3.2 ltrs. Q3. Answer is 2.
Answers come from 'the book'. |

How about asking them questions related to cars in films?

Who invented the airbag, and how much did he get paid for his invention? (Answer is not Breed in the late 60's, it's Hetrick in '52, and he got paid zilch.)
Oh wait, these are all going to be what we call monkey tests? I.e. multiple choice? |
