Could you impliment a warning system that can't be permanently turned off to say, "Yo Dude, you are a xx million sp character about to leave station in a 900k clone. Do you really want to do this? Yes / No" Well, perhaps not exactly that but you catch my drift.
Or alternatively, just prevent someone in a 900k clone leaving station at all, like when a ship is too damaged.
I have never had the misfortune of losing SP's because of this, but hell I can see it happening! |

A warning system might not be bad. Banning someone from leaving a station would. There are stations that don't have cloning stations and you can move your drone to those stations as well. ------------------------------------

This isnt babysitter online, there should be some onus on the player for responsibility and taking care of themselves.

Give it a break. A warning system wouldn't hurt anybody and probably have a mild customer-preserving effect.

Not to be picky or anything, but you are not in a 900k clone (unless you messed up before). The clone you leave at your cloning facility is a 900k clone.

I'm with Nnamuachs on this one.
If you can't bother to correctly manage your clones, you deserve to lose SP.
At the Op, refusing the undock of someone with a 900k SP can't be done. Once cloning is down, everyone would be stuck sooner or later. |

and i bet none fo them get it back, because you are supposed to be able to lose SP.
you have a brain yes? warn yourself, and let the devs focus on more important matters.

If you're keen on losing skillpoints you can always ignore the message and ask someone to shoot your pod.

Ah, the "more important stuffz" answer. I guess even you figured that "would cause lag" doesn't really apply in this case.
So let's see if we can debunk "more important stuffz": Eve already checks for cargo legality when a player tries to undock from a station. Adding another check for current clone sp > total sp should take approximately all of 11 seconds. After all the code is pretty much already there. Now the real work would be to type "Hey brains, didn't you forget something?" and have it translated into all supported languages. I hope you'll agree that the guys working on the game translations aren't the same as those that "fix ur lag"?! |

Can i get a check every time i undock that tells me my ship "might" get blown up outside the safety of the station? How about every time i get in a hauler it reminds me to fit some tank so that i dont get ganked, or not to put too many valuables in it. What about getting a warning every time i accept a mission telling me not to shoot thieves or i might get shot, or that someone may salvage all the wrecks in my mission.
As i said, this isn't babysitters online, this is a dangerous road to go down, next you know it'll warn me when i fit guns to my ship saying that if i engage in pvp i might get blown up... or if i undock without insurance it reminds me every single time. The list goes on, there needs to be less safety labels, not more, so the idiots kill themselves off.
