This is a shorter read than Part 1, but it needs to be shared.
Same Rifter as in Part 1, except with the Webber on and no Ship scanner.
I'm in a hi-sec roid belt (again), and I find a really awkward scene.
2 Retrievers, a Navy Apocalypse, and about 7 jetcans scattered all around them.
Pulling up the 'Show info' on the cans show that all of the three characters (both retrievers and the apoc pilot) have a few cans each in the blob.
Next I pull up the info on the different characters. All three of them are in NPC corps, and all of them have 3 years+ histories. The whole scene just gets weirder as an Obelix class freighter warps into belt right next to the retrievers and the Apoc. This character also 3 years old and in an NPC corp.
I'm thinking, what is going on? Well, not shy to poke around and see how people react I fly over to the jetcans to check out what they are hiding. All of the cans are containing approx 5000-6000 units of ore each. As I am poking my nose into the containers, the Navy Apoc locks me.
So what? I'm not flagged, so what can he do anyways? Since he locked me though, I'm going to be annoying, and steal from a can belonging to one of the retrievers.
I pop out 1 x EMP ammo in a can, then move the ore over from the jetcan.
Drones are released and I see a flashy red in the overview.
I get a bit confused, at first thinking it's the retriever that dropped drones on me, so I lock the red flashing box and start shooting as I skip into orbit around him with MWD burning, but I'm hearing turret fire? From a retriever?
I take an extra look at the overview... it's not the retriever shooting me. It's the Navy Apoc???
About 0,75 seconds after Concord arrives and *pop*, the Navy Apoc is no longer on the overview.
I loot the wreck, containing 2 LSE's, tachyons, best named Co-Proc and some other goodies, and I laugh all the way back to the station.
So what's up with EVE lately and the battleship newbies who are floating around in roid belts?
Anyways, a 400 million isk hull blown up should be a nice lesson for that guy.
Happy days in a Rifter!
This, this is just gold, it is.
I'd probably laugh so hard I wouldn't be able to fly back to the station if it happened to me. |
