hi, amarr pilot misisnoing in amarr with navypoc. want to get a better ship to deal with the occasionaly WC/AE/Guristas mishions. wat is the best ship for these types? not including marauders but including tier1-3 BS as well as faction bs. i prefer turret ships, tho if the CNR is truly the fastest i will resort to that.
advice is appreciated

Cross trainer rails or AC's and slap them on an Abaddon. You could also take 2 weeks to cross train to a Mega/Domi and rails as well. I personally use a Hyperion, but anything works.
As far as Guristas goes... I use T2 pulses on my Apoc and it works just fine to be honest.

CNR is probably the most versitile, if not fastest. It can do any damage type and up to very high range. It's expensive to fit and fly properly though, and rather unsuitable if you're turret spec'd.
I personally love my nighthawk for angels and serps/guristas, the high natural kin/therm make guristas and serp a walk in the park, and gistii A type explosive hardeners are cheap for angels. 3x BCU and I can eliminate any size rat with equal ease.
For you however(not knowing your skill plan other than that you "prefer turret ships"), I'd go ahead and reccomend getting a dominix. You can use your turret skills with rails, and have flexible damage types with drones(assuming you have at least drone int 4 and heavy drones). Fill your mids with cap rechargers, low with tank(should be close to being able to perma dual LAR with 5x cap recharge II), and your highs with rails(probably d250/350 rails), should work great for guristas/serp(ogres!), and be pretty good vs angels(use berserkers for angels).
If drones aren't your thing, the maelstrom can be a great l4 turret ship, tank it like a raven(with free boost!), you can chose your damage types to a certain extent, you can fit autos for upclose or arty for range, on generally the same fit.

Pre QR I woulda said get a Rattlesnake for pimpness and effectiveness, but no more. Can you get itno a Nightmare? Not exactly Gurista specific damage, but I hear it does so much that it hardly matters. Anyone who flies one can tell you for sure though. |

CNR is the best ... only deimos surpasses it. But i guess you cant fly that. |

I think you all are missing the point. He is an Amarr pilot in Amarr space flying Amarr ships...
The reason I said the Abaddon is because you get to keep the armor bonus, but lose the gun bonus if you cross train to a different weapon setup. AC's work nicely because they are capless and you can fit good Angels tank on the Abaddon and fit some Gyro's to boost damage. It would work on a Navy Apoc too, but I found I get better results with the Abaddon. It tanks explosive better with the resist bonus.
If you go to Caldari then you are talking shield tanking. Amarr battleships are all armor tanking so I'm guessing his tank wouldn't be as good. Galle ships are armor tankers so cross training to them isn't that much of a problem.
The CNR is not the answer to everything PvE. |

1st choice - Raven. You don't need a CNR. alternative choice - Typhoon. Most underrated PvE ship in game. |
