:) Thats not how it works. Each bid goes up by 50,000 ISK and adds a small amount of time to the auction. It's sort of like a raffle but minus the random winner. The winner here is the last person to bid when the time runs out. |

The reason you are getting all these comments is because EVE has been around for a few years and and during those years there have been a ton of new websites, most of which never caught on, including an amazing amount of auction websites of which none have caught on (as far as I am aware).
So when you post a half completed, full of errors, bad looking auction site which needs to be tested you can't expect people to go "wow, thats amazing", "cool! i can't wait till it is ready!". |

We need as many people as possible to sign up on our site and bid on auctions that we have started. These are NOT live auctions and you will NOT receive the item you are bidding on. This is only to test the mechanics of the site.
When you sign up you will receive several hundred bids which you can use on any of the beta auctions that will be running. Again, these are only test auctions and NO items will be given out nor will we be asking you to send any money to purchase bids. Once we are confident in our system we will be launching the live site with real auctions. If you have any questions feel free to ask them here. Thanks in advance for you help!
no thanx, ingame auctions work just fine without having to go to an unknown website ( ɹǝƃƃolʎǝʞ/uɐɾoɹʇ ) |

i dont get it, once you bid for the item out of game you need to then set the contract ingame?????
the auction system in eve is perfectly suited for cutting out the onbivos middle man and while you are spending 6-8 bucks you wasting your time in doing so and you could of just paided for another mining account >_>
why should we go to a unsecure site when everything you offering is already ingame. |

Couple of bugs and semi-exploits on the site too. |

OK, so my first "beta tester" report is as follows:
1. Get terms, privacy, and copyright on your site ASAP. Until such time, site will be "broken"
2. Navigation is far too singular, you need more redundant navigation such as a "home" button as well as a banner which takes you "home". I have gotten "stuck" multiple times, and had to use the back key - this is bad.
3. Explanation of services missing. It is unclear if the auctions on the "home" page are featured auctions, or all of the auctions. Countdown timer had to be observed to figure it's purpose, no label. Much of the information in the auctions is unlabeled and vague. Plus there is simply not enough information - how many bids? link to information on item?
4. nice logo. |

Hey! Thanks for the feedback. I do realize the site is pretty bare right now in terms of information. I'm really trying to test the load on the server and that my bidding system is working. I appreciate your time in working with the site. I think there is a lot of confusion on what type of auctions these are by reading the posts here. Players will not be able to create auctions on the site only bid on them. Auctions are expected to go for well below market value so the winning user gets the item for extremely cheap.
The term auction may not be the best term, raffle would probably be better. When I do launch the site with real auctions, I will have plenty of info on the site as well as on the forums here.
Thanks again to all those who are actually testing it. www.evepv.com EVE Online Auction site! |

None of this is clear on your site. You really need to add more information so that people immediately know what they are looking at. An explination of how your site works should be just as obvious as the actual workings of the site. I would advise you take down your site, finish adding information and side dishes, and then bring it live when you are confident everything works. Beta testing a site with potential clients is a bad idea on many levels. Instead, you need to be ready when the site goes live to fix issues promptly and backup information regularly for when the bomb does drop. In either case, if you don't copyright your work and add terms (you are collecting email addresses), you could easily be robbed or get in trouble. Adding a ¬ and at least terms that say "Use at your own risk" should be the first step to every page you build. |
