I want to get into plexxing with some buddies, however i'm not to interested in killing myself in a 10/10 (I was quite sad to lose my first ishtar in a 10/10... had dual guardians, but they didnt get into the plex in time )
But as subject says, where do 6/10's usually appear, low sec? or 0.0 with -0.5 true sec? any help would be appreciated.
also, how does one know if a plex is a 6/10 or a 8/10 or 4/10...
Oh... and it would probably help to know what they require/contain, ie: soloable? 2 bs's? Lots of ebil bs's and turrets of death? iunno... halp plz =)
thx in advance.

6/10 is low sec i believe. Not alot of them exist, so good luck finding em. You wont know its the 6/10 until you've found it. |

low-sec and anything in between.
Had a 6/10 in a 0.4 a while ago. You'll know what level it is by the popup message when you warp into it

Usually you get a pop-up telling you alittle of the back story of the plex, along with a threat level warning, eg 4/10 or 6/10.
Some plex's don't have the intro tho, to find out what the tru rating of these plex's are, click the 'zoom out' button next to your HUD, so that you can see a view of your solar system map (the one you use to see if your probes cover all the planets etc)
In te solar system map there will be a small icon for the plex, and it should show all the plex info, rating, rat type etc.
For grav sites it'll also show you the 'special' types of ores present.
I Find 6/10- in 0.4 to 0.1, you should take 2 BS and a logisitics.
If your hunting Blood plexs watchout, theres usually ALOT of ships that will neut you.
hope this helps,
Joe.
PS, Some 6/10 Blood Drop A-Type loot like EANM - Shiny

Edited by: LaserX on 04/02/2009 09:28:38 You also get those from low-sec cosmic anomaly escalation, I had a 6/10 sansha war supply complex from anomaly escalation myself. We finished it with several battleships with remote repair, loot was not that great as we expected tho. |

it will appear on the opening msg, and in low-sec or 0.0, i found a rogue drone 5/10 in a .3 system yesterday and solo'd it in a vaga(near max skills), btw i really wish i had someone else as the hive mother hits like a truck(thor torpedos, web and guns blazing with wreckings near 1000), i would also suggest a few friends for plexes that big as low-sec brings pirates and pirates bring recon probes, im sure you know the rest. |

eve.grismar.net has a database of plexes. I can't vouch for accuracy, but you can search for specific difficulties (i.e. 6/10) and see what comes up.

I have found at least 4 or 5 6/10 plexes in low sec. although they are rare to find. |
