What do you think about this Crow setup
You PvP in any sort of gang, orbit the enemy at 50-60km, and spam them with missiles It only does 79 DPS, 585 volley damage.
However, you are so far away and going so fast, you should survive.
The cloak helps you to scout for your gang and aid survival (should you be the only one left ).

The rigs should help you to hit (fast moving) frigates, theoretically

At least fit the long range scram and try to be somewhat useful. You are better off with a Harpy if this is what you want to do.

OK. This setup has a Domination Disruptor, so you aim to orbit at about 26km.
The sensor booster enables you to lock onto targets at 60km, so you can permarun the MWD and really zoom around freely.

A better setup and the one I used pre nerf with the Gisti MWD's. The only thing I would mention is that keep an eye on your sig radius and what is shooting at you. I've been tempted to try a similar setup in the 22-26km range with a T2 burner and microscopic sig radius, while still having the ability to shoot from maximum ranges if need be. |

if you want survivability all you need is a good eye.
sensor boosting crows are and always have been awesome for staying alive whilst actualy being a reasonable tackler, the longer the disruptor the further you are away from trouble and makes fly by points extreamly easy.
what I would say personaly say is tho, speed speed and more speed! The fastest thing wins(when I say when I mean lives) so get rid of those rigs and the stupid BCU you damage is always going to suck so why bother. Another way of duing it is using a fancy web instead of booster overloaded gives you 19km so can keep any inty off you especialy with the crows natural large range.
also the cloak is pretty much a non issue, being the fastest is just as good as a cloak.

This was my setup from 2006 to August 2008, albeit fully pimped. Well, technically not -quite- the same since I was using t2 flare cats, gistii mwd, DB 28, SS sensor booster etc and with an offline remote rep. But nevertheless, same idea.
However, I'm sad to say that this setup is now "Last generation", and is no longer functional.
The underlying cause is this : a max top speed of 5.9 (fully snaked and pimped) compared to another combat inty doing 4.8-5.2 equates to a combat speed of 3.5-4.2 for both inties, making any speed difference too close for the lack of any defensive capabilities worth the risk.
If said inty is not pimped, then death IS guarenteed.

Just spam Eye of the Tiger lyrics in local while docked.
You now have a perfect "ranged" Survivor setup. After all, everyone needs some type of spacer in their sigs to show it's not part of the post.

Ponchos are a bit hard to get hold of. Flares are probably less useful than additional speed mods. The point of a 'ceptor, is really to fit a point, not do DPS - and your DPS is pretty negligable, without being tackled, something will just warp if it's taking too much damage. |
