The newest patch did its usual routine, but when I went to run the repair tool, it crashes immediately. Tried downloaded the supposed newest repair tool. Anyone seen this one before?

Patch installer failed with the following:Quote:0x7bc59749 RtlDosPathNameToNtPathName_U+0x59 [/home/aragaer/wine-git/dlls/ntdll/path.c:360] in ntdll: movzwl0x0(%esi),%eax 360 if (!dos_path || !*dos_path) return FALSE; Will try to investigate that soon.
On the other hand the problem happened after actually updating. Right now my client is up-to-date and I'm logged in.
Will try the repair tool though. If you're right, the error should appear even for patched client. |

got the same error. Installing C++ runtime service pack did not help. Just reinstalled the whole thing, and wow what a difference. Graphics look far better for some reason, and so far no random crashes |

Yes, me too.
Though not quite the same problem as discussed I have been having problems with the connection to the server being dropped and lately getting stuck at the logon. Looks to me as if patch on patch on patch gets a bit much and the system gets indigestion. Reloaded the whole client and problems solved.
Still I suppose such things are common in Windowsland but in Linux not so much. |

I have Wine set to run EVE as Windows 7. I have found that I get best results when updating if I set Wine to Windows XP for the repair tool. |
