Is there a tool for EVE that can help one keep track of orders, and how much one earn/lose on the market? |

Kallie, to more specifically answer your question regarding "earn/lose" on the market - are you looking for something similar to the below?

It's an early draft of the market campaign tool, it's missing all the shiny graphs and needs to link item types between buy and sell orders (to determine a P/U profit). |

Well, something along those lines
I just want to find out what i've earned on my trading over a set period of time. I've done this manually so far, but some sort of program that can keep track of this in a more sleek and efficient way would be nice.
Edit: Would also be nice to be able to sort out certain events, like i don't want isk trading between character to show up as profit gain. |

The campaign tool allows you to assign order ID's, item types, or all orders - in a specific date range. It'll handle all the calculations of this as a result - it's based solely on market orders. There's a transaction analysis tool, but as you said - you want to know about your trading.
BST already gives you a cumulative total of your sell orders to date, I'll add in an option for specifying a date range. Will be in at some point this evening. |
