Edited by: Kulach on 03/08/2004 08:48:50 I must say I find Xanadu's way of infiltrating our boards is a pretty disgusting way of trying to gain an out of game advantage.
Xanadu showed itÆs real colors now
A question springs to mind though, which other alliances have they done this to? And what else will have they done already?
However fact remains that these post have not been made by anyone with power and are mere speculations.
And for SA/Xetic etc, remember that what goes around comes around. Your forums might be next so donÆt type anything you want to keep privateà

IMNSHO it is ok provided the means to access these external resources were gained through legitamate means such as bribery or blackmailing of enemy players. First thing I do when I REALLY want to crush a corp (not just fight them) is start offereing members large sums of money for forum passwords and teamspeak passwords and usernames.
Once members of a corp are bought out or compramised you can start leaking information to the public and back to the corp in general, this creates infighting and paranoia and leads to break up of corporations.
I don't see anything wrong with this kind of gameplay, however hacking, ddos attacks or whatever are lame and should never be used.
Anyway just my opinion ^_^
Stavros
Interesting (donÆt know what IMNSHO stands for though). I do however not share your opinion as I think you take the game way to far into the real world.
My second thought was that this would have not cause as much anger as it did if it was not for the Xanadu guy posting screenshots from the board and thus making it public as then it would be mere speculation and PR.
By posting screenshots of the boards from private CA discussions (discussions being the key word as they were just some thoughts by some of our members) Xanadu crossed the line and brought in something that should have been kept out of the game.

CA has no credibility in discussing backstabbing.
Hey, read the entire post.
The above statement was about taking the game into RL. Not about ingame actions (which I am all ok with) .
As for the advise part, anyone can give advise, who chose to listen is a different story...

2. Time and again the incident chat logs, original CA-XIF NAP were posted on these forum showing clearly, that not only did CA break the NAP, its leadership staged the incident because they wanted a war with XIF.
And here you come calling us snakes. Your an embarrassment.
For the love of god don't bring up the bloody reason for the Xetic v CA war reasons again !
There are too many threads about this already (also a fact is that what ever argument is put on the table no agreement of what happend will be reached)...

Who really cares about this eh ?
And for the record, CA is indeed more or less chaotic in internal opinionating. People do express their opinions freely there, and there are no restrictions on expressing them anywhere.
now:
CA: go and kill all these self-righteous bastards please SA/FA/XIF: go and kill those bragging deniable smacktalking pirates.
Now, isn't that what we all want ?
Good Back to applying this solution up north then.

reverand, WTF? nothing left to fight? thats the case for SA/Xetic etc etc because all u CA do is dock and log/safespot and log whenever a few enemies of CA come in system.
post before u: also a load of BS.
you go to A2 to try to escape the massacre thats going on in ur own space, to try and keep ur status u go off to A2 to try and gank indies going thru, and even thats not going very well now CFS r doing something about it.
CA are dying and need to stop their wars before they totaly crumble. unfortunately for them nobody really wants to stop now they're so close.
Perhaps Rev's post was a bit incomplete. I believe there is a rather big time zone issue here that he was referring to.
We go down to A2-V2 after Euro zone so to say as SA etc have often logged for the night (no harm as most us got to work etc.)
Added: As for your part of ôCA are dying and need to stop their wars before they totaly crumble.ö I can only say:
Go smack talk somewhere else boy as we arenÆt listening.

Perhaps you guys need to trim off the fat and get back to being a lean mean fighting machine.
I don't know about all that, Mr Calvert. Some corps are betrayed for money or some misplaced sense of (in)justice. The real question is what do they do about that betrayal, and how well and how quickly they can recover from it.
As for the mining, minerals are necessary for ammunition and missiles at a bare minimum. Having people dedicated to providing these resources allows the trigger pullers to do exactly that. It is a combat multiplier. Forcing every member of the organization to spend all their time fighting is not good military policy.
However, I agree a balance must be reached between combat pilots and support pilots. That balance, however, is ultimately Curse's decision, and if it's not working it's their problem to fix it.
Good constructive comments Amira!
Especially compared with a lot of the other rubbish posted in this thread.

Now to get back on topic. I am in Celestial Horizon, that's no secret, but honestly I think both sides are acting childish here, going back and forth with "he said-She said" and the stupid arguments about who kicked who's ass and then went back and lost it all the next day... so on and so forth.
Just kill each other... don't talk about it on the forums. This thread was mearly supposed to be a statement, Both sides (not just CA) turned this into a flame fest about who's got more power, who's got more kills. Just play the damn game.
That's just my .02 Isk
Though I agree with you in principle I seriously doubt that any statement from any side will ever be flame free.
In regards to this particular statement, it is provocative in its nature. When backed up with screenshots taken out of context (meaning they represented a very small percentage of the replies on the thread) from a private boards captured by a spy, not even Red Adair would not be able stop the fire.
Sure kill mails are improving the situation a little bit, but there is always going to be arguments what did really happen etc.
Last to add a fun little quote from famous Red:
------------------------- One of the things I like about this job is that I'm never bothered by life-insurance salesmen. Red Adair, oil-well fire fighter -------------------------

It is actually a very handy system to keep track of kills (very simple to use) and provides cool stats.
Perhaps our enemies should develop something similar? Would be intresting to see what stats they come out with (no flames intended just a fun thing)?
